If we leave with no deal any future relationship deal will require full member agreement. The WA is the path to QMV if I recall correctly (could be wrong).

It is, once the UK exits without a deal they'll need 2/3rds of the EUP, unanimous consent of the EC and EUC and ratification domestically by every member state.

This really isn’t on them. They’ve done what they can and put into place something that ensures the continued peace process in Ireland and Johnson doesn’t want it.

They don’t have to budge and they’re not morally obliged to do so either.

We’ve absolutely fucked our selves and deserve everything that’s coming to us.

The EU will be fine after no deal, a bit of a shake but they’re too big for it to affect the whole union, we on the other hand will be alone and struggling massively.

The whole rhetoric about it getting them to the table and the countless posters on here who said we’d need no deal to get another deal are yet again proved wrong.

You really do have this entirely wrong - and have for many months

1. You and everyone that has the interests of the UK as a priority should not want the backstop - it is not just a question of Johnson not wanting it. It is a contrivance that will keep the UK shackled to the EU for decades to come - true vassal state status.

2. That no-deal is needed to get the EU to the table seems to be outside the grasp of quite a few on here to understand. The issue is having the integrity to implement the result of the referendum or not. Once you decide to do so then you need to prepare for your ideal, realistic and fallback outcomes - as part of establishing your fallback (least attractive) you simply must prepare for No-Deal because the reality is that you cannot force the other party to the table and you may end up having to leave because a deal cannot be done. You then manage the arrangements robustly - it is simple management of negotiations and implementation.

It is blindingly obvious that the UK may not force the EU towards a better (realistic) outcome - but you have a damn sight more chance if the other party can see that you are indeed able and willing to implement your fallback position. The thing is that there has been an issue of integrity with regards to implementing the result of the referendum - by May and the many EU sycophants. The EU has been supported and the UK undermined during the negotiations due to the level of abject sycophancy that the EU has been able to observe.

But that lack of integrity, strength of will and basic management capability does not detract from simple and basic methods of managing negotiations and the implementation of change programmes.

Well they did vote 90+% in favour of remain, it might be a good idea to give them a choice on that one.
