Some of these shots are hideous. Both teams have got some terrible batsmen
Their lead is probably nearly enough, even now. Another 100, and it's Ashes gone.
Any test side should have a chance of batting for 300 on a decent pitch in the sun, England wont though and use the 4th innings pitch bollocks, its'll be a day 2 pitch tomorrow with how few overs have been bowled by 4th innings.
I'm from the "bowl at the stumps" school. If they miss, you hit. But I do see the line of thought about the swinging ball and nicks to the catching cordon.why we not bowling really wide in the hope they chase it ?

Why can't these twats practice forward and backward defence and leave wide deliveries .Its basic schoolboy stuffThe money men will be shitting themselves over the refunds they will need to give.
Shit himselfHow the fuck has he dropped that
We're of the same vintage, cricket wise. The batsmen play too many shots, they seem to have forgotten that a good defensive technique is required for the five-day game. It's not a crime to play out a few maiden overs on a testing wicket. Please forgive a cricket novice. I haven’t really watched much since Engineer, Pilling and Lloyd played for Lancs.
How can such a competitive one day team be so shit at the five day game?
But is it any more testing than a one day pitch when they regularly score 300+?We're of the same vintage, cricket wise. Yes, I'd say one-day pitches are generally prepared to encourage run scoring rather than wicket taking. But is it any more testing than a one day pitch when they regularly score 300+?

Whereas the pitch at headingly is set up for sub 200 scores. Surely not. I have to admit I really don’t get it.Yes, I'd say one-day pitches are generally prepared to encourage run scoring rather than wicket taking.
