Government sources, however, said Number 10 officials ask for legal and policy advice every day.

“The claim that the Government is considering proroguing parliament in September in order to stop MPs debating Brexit is entirely false,
We're only asking what the legal advice would be if we were considering it.

Brexit boost?

I heard this week of a small gin-making firm that puts their gin in bottles made for Italian perfumes. Italian glass firm now wants cash upfront for orders, which they can't afford - and an alternative UK supplier wants £3 a bottle compared to the 50p the Italians wanted.

I won’t sleep tonight, it’s been a great day with the cricket and a city win.

Please what’s the punchline?

This alone should send tremors around the global markets, shit just got serious. We don’t need to put it on the wheel we need a new wheel.

My gast has been flabbered.

I thought one of the Brexiters was going to tell us how FOM was going to be controlled by the UK with an open NI/RoI border with No Deal. I’m guessing he couldn’t think of a sensible answer and hoped everyone would forget he said he’d provide one.

People won’t be able to live and work here legally.

Debating Abbot and Corbyn is a convenient distraction - I personally know 2 people, just normal citizens, that are clearly racist - based on the true (even all, including the one just offered by Damocles) definitions - that voted Remain.

So the presumption that every racist voted leave is factually, clearly and simply wrong.

If I know 2, then...…

This fabrication has been lazily used for 3 years to demean Leavers - it has been wrong for 3 years
Think the “all racists are Leavers” line is nonsense (it’s virtually impossible statistically), but it’s remarkably convenient how many Leavers claim to know categorically racist Remain voters. What are the chances! For the sake of balance, I have an imaginary Leaver acquaintance who is a terrorist sympathiser. Make of that what you will.

However it is beyond dispute that all leave voters are cunts.
Stewart Lee 2017
Don’t think he actually said that tbh. Wasn’t the quote/joke “It wasn’t just racists who voted to leave Europe.... cunts did as well, didn’t they?”. If I’m being pedantic, think it was 2018 too rather than 2017.

I presume some sort of Visa system will be put in place for EU citizens.
Maybe I’ve got you mixed up with other Brexiters but quite a few would accept No Deal in the event of a satisfactory withdrawal agreement not being agreed and some of those have said they wouldn’t expect the UK to introduce any infrastructure at the NI/RoI border, so by default they must be ok if anyone at all enters the UK that way. Without a WA, there would be no reason for EU countries to try and stop migrants from anywhere entering the UK. In fact they could quite legitimately help them to get to Ireland and point them towards the uncontrolled border and there’s absolutely nothing we could do about it. That would be a cheap and easy way for them to solve the refugee issues in Calais if there is no bilateral agreement in place.
If you would never accept No Deal under any circumstances then the above doesn’t apply to you.

Most of them don't seem to know any Renainers.... of those they do know, it's the racist ones.

If there are ships plying between Dutch and French ports and Ireland to replace the land train, why would people try to cross the Channel by paying people-smugglers to get them across in a dinghy, or try and stowaway on a lorry axle, when they can just pay a fare and then walk across into the UK?

(Irish immigration control might have a say but as Ireland would no longer have to be in step with the UK could Ireland decide to join Schengen?)

You are both Boris Johnson. You know what business can do.

If it's the CBI complaining, it's "big business that loves the EU and doesn't pay corporation tax". If it's an SME they're too small to care about.

Let them eat cake - which in our case we have not got.
