Bury fans club AFC start a new life in NWCL

I've tried Googling Bury FC mismanagement, and Bury FC forums for an insight into how it has came to this present situation to no avail. Has anyone got a link to an in depth explanation ?

Very sad news. I don’t know enough about the ins and out of what put them in this situation to know how much blame to put on their current and previous owners who got them into this mess but surely the fa have to take some responsibility here, measures should be in place to protect the existence of all football clubs.

A sucession of small time businessmen using the clubs to make a quick profit while putting nothing in.

I mean two of the people who put offers in today, one has already fucked about at another club and another is running two other businesses with a total annual loss of 2M between them.

It's not just these though, there are plenty throughout the leagues, the EFL are not fit for purpose

What exactly does that mean? That they're in the conference or is the club folding altogether?

Same as what happened to chestee and wimbledon I think, they reform a d re-register in the non leagues for next season and work themselves back up.

Perhaps if FFP hadn’t been too busy conducting a witch hunt against us for no reason...

Real shame. Feel sorry for everyone involved apart from their dick of an owner

I've found a David Conn article which should suffice. Also found a report that highlights the Bury owner has been involved in over 50 companies, of which more than 40 have gone into administration. He didn't get examined by the EFL fit and proper persons test, because the EFL were concerned about Bury going into administration

It is tragic and should never have been allowed to happen. Interesting to see what that tosser of an owner does now.

Anyone in any doubt as to how dubious the motives of some of the people involved in Bury have been would do well to read about the structure for approving the CVA and the new creditor involved:

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/23/bury-company-debt-cva-steve-dale-daughter

And the previous, apparently separate, regime's financial maneuverings, detailed in links in this article:

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/27/bury-historic-club-football-league-financial-ruins

A cynic might conclude that several people have been preparing for this.
