Bury fans club AFC start a new life in NWCL

BBC website quoting a Bury supporter saying "we just want to watch our team on a Saturday." Very sad. Hope they come back via the lower leagues, their ground can't be built on for 20 years but the players will all go off to other clubs and it will be a hard road back.

What happens to gigg lane? Is a nice ground

Possibly a fan owned club? I am.not sure but they have 4000 regular fans I guess?
Just thinking in terms of the stadium etc.

As it stands would they stay as Bury FC but just a non-league team or would they fold, need to form a new club, new stadium etc?

Genuinely don't know, apologies if they're stupid questions!

Not sure exactly, but Chester managed to hire their old stadium, but had to go back down the leagues, and they changed their name slightly, dropping the City. If those 3K supporters are genuine in their love for the club you’d expect them all to turn up for any phoenix club and hopefully give them a basis for some funding.
