I hope parliament is suspended and we finally leave. Parliament doesn’t represent the people anymore - it’s not about stopping no deal it’s about stopping brexit entirely.

I will bet now if Johnson does this and we leave the conservatives will win the next election

And it will probably work, as the 52% will lap it up. The whole thing is just shite. How anyone who isn't rich can think that prick is on their side is just beyond me.

I’m not rich, born and raised in a council house and up until about 8 months ago was on the dole. I don’t think any of them are on anyone’s side, but as someone who wants to leave the eu he and the conservatives are pretty much the only option left now - I’ll take that as will millions of others

Don’t disagree but the other argument is that Johnson genuinely believes the only reason the EU won’t cave is because they think Parliament will block no deal and if he makes blocking impossible then the EU will fold on the backstop etc. We have consistently misread the EU for the last three years and alas we seem determined to continue this losing streak.

The other factor is that any ‘revised’ deal will have little time to pass Parliament. People forget that just voting for the deal in principle through Parliament is only the beginning of the saga as we have to pass the Act that goes with it which will take Parliamentary time that isn’t available before 31st Oct and the same is true of no deal legislation which will also be needed. We talk about preparing for no deal when in reality we are not even close.
That is also possible, but I do think it's what I suggested, primarily because it's Steve Bannon and that twat Cummings who are pulling Johnson's strings, and they both think they're clever little bastards.

Parliament as constituted was voted for by the people in 2017. They voted for a hung Parliament and declined to give the Brexit Tories the mandate they sought. By suspending Parliament and going for no deal they are going against what people voted for. What you really mean is Parliament doesn’t reflect what you want so fuck them.

I'd happily leave the EU right now, just not no deal. That will fucking cripple us. Leave the EU, stay in the customs union (to be reviewed at some point in the near future). Referendum result respected, economy doesn't tank. I'm already in conversations with friends abroad in case no deal happens. Between no deal brexit and VAR......

Do you ever get bored of loving/ talking about the eu so much ? You’ve been on here every day talking about it.

Btw all you e done is said fuck it the vote and fuck the majority of people that voted leave

Presumably if by some by miracle there were to be a deal we’d have a “short technical extension” to allow the legislation to go through?

Yep. Trouble with being clever little bastards is if Parliament isn’t able to block no deal what then? Is suspending Parliament at the time of crisis really the look they are going for? The U.K. drifting towards no deal no longer able to control its own fate? How will Scotland, Wales and NI react? Are we ready to be seen as a lone hostile actor in Europe and to have our actions condemned by countries within our own union? How will we react when it’s evident that the U.K. is only functioning via the largess of the EU with temp deals for a month or two over which we have no say or control? Are we really going to get an alternative Parliament sitting in protest? Will it lobby the Queen?

And all this banana republic shit because we didn’t like straight bananas.

And now we have the proposal to prorogue Parliament to force through No Deal. At least we have proof now that the Right Wing Coup is on and that nothing Johnson says can be trusted given he has repeatedly denied he was considering it. And this is democracy? Ha ha ha ha ha

Mate you have calmed down recently but you are getting slightly giddy here with this

Come on here and apologise to the forum nonsense

Why does the forum need an apology from a poster ?

It’s a football forum not the United Nations

He should apologise, as I will if no deal turns out to be good, I mean I’m sure it won’t but if it does turn out to be not too bad, which I’m hoping for, I’ll come on and say sorry.

He’s been a total see you next Tuesday and incredibly rude, despite all the evidence being against him, so why shouldn’t he apologise if he’s proved wrong?

Exactly. The whole thing is a mess.
