Anyone any good at suping up beach buggies and building thunderdomes.

I need to get ahead of the game when Gorton becomes barter town ;-)

This secret privy council stitch up in Balmoral not looking good for Liz and the family.
No? As a general rule I think “The Queen agrees to the PM’s request” makes a better headline than “The Queen refuses the PM’s request”

Ruth Davidson to quit as Scottish leader of Tories.

She’ll parachute into a safe English constituency at the next election and be the Tory leader before the next one.

The EU have compromised. This form if the Backstop was a UK suggestion. But if you think the EU won't compromise where do you think the UK will get concessions from in the future with other countries and territories? We need to get used to having the larger, more influential party not budging - we are not a diminished nation and the sooner people get on-board with that the soon the fuck which Brexit will fast become will be a lot easier for people to digest

exactly - the backstop is a UK invention negotiated into the WA as a result of EU compromise. They sign off on the WA and then we come back telling them we don't want our backstop by calling it their backstop and want the EU to reopen the WA to change things. My guess is the EU proposal wasn't acceptable hence we got them to agree to the backstop so as they know their idea isn't acceptable to us and we want to change OUR minds its not unreasonable to think the UK needs to come up with a change to our own idea and present it to the EU to see if they will agree - otherwise the deal that was thrashed out and signed off stands.

Everything that is happening shows Johnson has no plan, no idea and no alternative proposal and simply wants to lie and obfuscate to 31st October so he can lead the crash out and blame all the subsequent woes that befall UK citizens on the EU.

So much outrage from those who have done their utmost to prevent the will of the people being inacted. Talk about hypocrites lol.

Boris Johnson is absolutely within his right to do what he’s done. People/ remainers may disagree, but it’s part of his power - similar to what other mps have done in parliament

When is it justifiable for a Prime Minister to essentially circumvent Parliament in making a decision that impacts the whole country?

A prime minister imposed on the country via the votes from members of the conservative party.
Attempts to get around the parliamentary democracy he is supposed defend .

Seems more like an abuse of his power.

Not entirely unexpected though given the state of the Muppets we have as political leaders.

Muppets is a kind term. Lol

She has no choice but to take the advice of her PM.

She can refuse his request on this same as she can dismiss him and inform parliament to appoint a new one.

The privy council has been the bigger factor than johnson and their approval of this idea

Today she took an option that will lessen her standing as she has approved an undemocratic stance by johnson in circumnavigating our parliamentry system.

Your twisting my post to suit yours. I can absolutely make jokes the predications made, particularly the ones made before the referendum. I can also make jokes about remainers - it’s all they have done for the last two years. Mock people, call them stupid, thick, racist ......

I think it’s past the point of getting a deal. There will not be a deal with the backstop - something the eu just won’t budge on. For me that doesn’t make any sense as with no deal there could be a border. We don’t want that, but the eu don’t want compromise

I think you have a little growing up to do to be honest and need to stop trying to sound like leave voter bingo. You can joke about remainers but people have already lost their jobs due to Brexit and they will continue to in much larger numbers if we leave with no deal.

No deal doesn’t make any sense, you’re right but the reason the EU aren’t budging is because they aren’t confident in any other solution other than the backstop and no deal hurts them far less than us.

We could be using this time to agree our free trade deal with them now and the possibilities around the Irish border.

Agree with it being a possible negotiation tactic, hopefully.
Most definitely. You must be prepared and demonstrate that you will leave with no deal to get a decent deal. Let's be honest during Mays premiership our negotiations were pitiful. Not much more than Cameron's pathetic efforts. She wasted three years.
