I’m aware of the process. No deal was also the most rejected question put to Parliament. The referendum desperately needed another question as to how we leave and that would have pushed parliament to vote that through.

No one wins from here, it’s a huge mess and the damage to the country is unforgivable.

I genuinely want it over so we can concentrate on improving the country and striking trade deals.

So what deal will no deal MP's accept given they tell us constantly that the deal on offer from the EU, which they said no too is the only deal on offer?

Instead of telling us what they wont accept its time after 3 years they told us what they will and putting it back to the people isn't the answer, nor is them saying they can negotiate something different, after all they tell us the EU wont.

Agreed it needs to be over and its looking likely it will be very soon.

Nothing will get through, not unless the EU drastically change their position and ditch the backstop, even that may not get through when it should. The ERG have said they will now only accept no deal. There may be enough elsewhere in the house to get it through but I can see the opposition voting against it tactically.

The Brexit Party think Johnson is bluffing and is hoping the EU move and that he’ll never go through with no deal. Most leavers now love Johnson.

Fuck knows what’s going to happen. I think we’re in the most interesting era politically for a long long time and the next 12 weeks will test our democracy and constitution to its core.

Fuck the erg they are ideological nutters .

Your last para is right .

The moderates need to be strong and push through leaving with a deal .

Boris has played his hand has strongly as he can today to force the issue let’s hope we get a deal

I know it’s a ball tonight much japes and laughter

I am not fucking laughing. There is nothing remotely fucking funny about what Johnson did today. That so many on here appear to either support it or are ignoring it is something I find deeply disturbing.

The amount of whataboutery I have heard and seen today is concerning and his actions are authoritarian. We are in danger of sliding into despotism.

What would change your mind

Apart from the usual crap about total capitulation?
Nothing will change my mind that Brexit was and is a dumb idea, deeply damaging to the UK's interests.

But then there is zero evidence that can prove otherwise.

Yet Leavers (who were / are leavers for various reasons) are now getting triumphalist about the possibility of that damage happening.

But again you have missed the point about the original exchange.

There is one deal that would have got through. The one promised by the official Leave campaign.

Yet May accepted the EU's insistence that such a deal could not be discussed until after we left.

Thank God she got the fucking sack.

Corbyn? Who would overthrow the elected government and demands to be made PM without any elections.

You don't elect a Government for a start. A Government is formed by a majority of parliamentarians, that is why Johnsons stunt today is so disgusting.. He is overriding Parliament and nullifying the power of the legislature. They should act as a check and balance against the executive, he has removed that power. That is despotism.
