Back to guessing are we?

If I was an 80 year old living abroad I think I’d want a bit more reassurance than someone guessing it will all be fine. Something like a deal with the EU might help.

Same as you, yes im afraid i am.

Deal would be great, its what i want, always have.

maybe those anti no deal MP's can agree to one yes?

Richard Moss works for BBC NE - pointing out that the govt seems to be grasping the bleeding obvious - i.e. Bye Bye Nissan

Brexit Secretary highlights the problem Nissan and other car manufacturers have been raising about trade barriers since 2016. Just a short delay can bring production to a grinding halt. An unkind person might say file under no s**t Sherlock.

The car industry’s ‘just in time’ supply chains rely on fluid cross-Channel trade routes. >1,100 trucks filled with car parts cross seamlessly from EU into UK each day. We need to start talks now on how we make sure this flow continues if we leave without a deal. /4

Do you honestly think Spain, which is probably the home of most expats, is suddenly, some time after Brexit,
going to immediately rescind reciprocation? Why, just to be awkward cunts? What do they gain from it?
The same goes for other areas of the EU, what is to be gained?
I don’t know what they’ll do and neither do you. If EU citizens in the UK become a political bargaining chip so will UK citizens in the EU. It could all be very messy. To think it will all get sorted seamlessly is delusional in the extreme.

I would hazard that my predictions on reciprocation will be more accurate than yours.
If we're out, let's revisit in 12 months.

Anyone thinks that Boris will agree to any sort of deal at all should think about how we got here in the first place. The Tories were running scared because Farage was threatening to decimate them. Cameron called the referendum to try to shut them up and it backfired. Farage is still shouting for a no deal with the same threat to the Tories. With this in mind is Boris likely to go for a deal?

If that was to happen then fucking shame on all those involved in the leadership of not only the UK but the EU as well and fuck the lot of them.

It wont, im confident.

I think we have always said we'd afford a good level of protection to EU citizens already here. Notably the EU stayed silent in return. They absolutely will weaponise the status of UK citizens as they become more angry/spiteful/desperate. Good reason to get out of the 'club'.

Don’t forget that if we walk away with No Deal all the good faith and mutual trust will be gone and you’re confident everything will be fine?

Yes he is, and it'll be a last minute one imo.

I'd imagine the EU would rise above such pettiness in order to protect its citizens by establishing a reciprocal agreement - unless you are implying they are in some way a malevolent organisation.
