I have seen a few people mentioning a similarity to the class of 92, yet I fail to see anything remotely similar to them.
If you take the youngsters. There were 2 genuine, world class potential youngsters in Giggs and Scholes. Then there was Beckham who was a truly gifted passer of a football, which added to his work rate. Gary Neville was an extremely good and dependable defender, he was a 7/10 performer every week. Nicky Butt was also a decent and dependable midfielder. These kids who are coming through now would not even get into our squad of 1992 (We had a decent squad in 92 but we were never going to challenge for honours)
 
Interesting point from the Ginger Pig this morning. He's suggesting that United can be written off for the next two years. Only an arrogant ragamuffin would think that their 'entitlement' will be back in two years' time. What makes him think the rest are not gonna keep pace with the level they are at now! And the Rags stay 8th?

I am sure he said a very similar thing a when PEG was starting to go through a few dodgy results as well.
 
Watching Spurs and Arsenal and they both look better teams than the Rags, i fail to see how they will get near the top 4 again this year.
