That’s defeatist talk, fella.

This government are imploding before our very eyes.
I don't see how anyone ever thought a government led by Johnson with that cabinet dictated to by the likes of JRM and Farage (who've hidden every time the tough questions have been asked) would ever be any different I said it on this forum months ago. Give us Johnson. We'll eat him alive.

A

Actually there was a study done that said the middle classes kept the RAF going. Even Churchill agreed. Old Etonians were a small number in comparison.
Yep but they still produced a fair few pilots the working class produced a few as well especially aircrew.

Oh dear, losing the argument so let's all go ad hominem - but pompous Moggie was spelling out the precise truth. The Remainers are sabotaging Brexit by abusing the constitution and the overturning the democratic decision of the electorate. They howl that a 5 week prorogation is historically unparallelled while failing to acknowledge that Parliament didn't sit at all in September until Blair. Clarke has just claimed that the Conference season is dispensable and unimportant. It's supposed to be the supreme policy making body in the Labour Party - a permanent feature for decades and wasn't even interrupted when the IRA blew up Thatcher. Behind it all is the rank hypocrisy to claim that the their opposition is to No Deal when even the dogs in the street know it is to any form of Brexit.
I liked your reply just so I could unlike it

The Brextremists on here got all giddy for a while, though, didn’t they? Now it’s all “I don’t give a fuck any more” which is the surefire Death Rattle of someone experiencing the Dawning realisation that they got way too far into the wrong side of an argument.

Live on TV? Might get good viewing figures.

How so if the Labour MPs in leave areas had voted inline with their constituencies May's shit deal would have flown through.
Would it? Have you got the numbers to back that up? Even so, why should labour MPs back a right wing Brexit they were shut out of? It's the government's job in a parliamentary democracy to ensure they have the votes to carry motions through.

It is, and it’s good/interesting viewing but this Government will have to be replaced by another

I can’t see Labour winning and I think the Lib Dem’s and Brexit Party will win a few more between them but any Tort standing will have to swear and oath to Johnson and no-deal by the looks of things. Like I said, I think it will be a pretty unpleasant country. Because those that still believe there is a better deal out there and/or no-deal will give us certainty are living in cloud cuckoo land so one way or the other will be angry and/or disappointed and will be hoovered up over the next 10 years by the ‘if only’ brigade

Wanker tbh

In fairness these professional gamblers, which is basically what they are, wouldn’t be in business without making blindingly obvious decisions like this. It’s not like insider trading brexit is hardly a secret.I think even the dumbest could predict the markets don’t like uncertainty. If I had a pot to piss in I would do the same.

I'm stunned people believe any deal is being negotiated, it isn't.
It's pretty obvious that the only type of deal is acceptable to the conservative party is a no deal

Phillip Hammond when savaging Johnson on the radio this morning said as much - he even pointed out that the first thing this govt did was disband the negotiating TEAM - this exposes his lies again. How many times can this man be allowed to just lie

148 labour MPs are in leave constituencies pretty sure that would have carried any vote.

It's insider trading when you're part of the machinery driving the decision to hard/soft brexit surely

As I’ve posted in the past - it is not typically Opposition practice to wave through a Government policy which they feel will negatively effected their constituents and the country as a whole

May’s deal isn’t as good as staying in, hence they didn’t vote for it. No-deal is infinitely worse than staying in, so they are trying to stop that. Brexit votes should be cancelled until a deal can be presented that is measurably better than staying in - a concrete plan which does not need words like ‘belief’, ‘umf’ and ‘short term consequences’
