what she earns doesn't shed light on whether she owns a printer or not

I feel like if you're a highly regarded administrator of the country who is earning 4 times the average wage then buying a printer should be something that you can plan for economically.

My niece has a printer and she's a 13 year old Vicky Pollard. Jess Phillips should be able to manage it.

Oh right so that makes her not fit for office? Maybe it allows her an excuse to pop to her mums to print stuff off and have a chat. I have a printer - probably two years since I used it though - I can read stuff on my phone or laptop screen - probably makes me PM material does that. Or maybe Jess doesn't have to have stuff in her hand on paper to read it?

I heard she ran out of staples last week, we must do what we can to rid ourselves of this great national shame.

Maybe. But that's not what she said. We can only judge people on things they say and not things that they don't say.

She didn't say "I ran out of printer ink".

To use your analogy, she said "I don't own a stapler so have to pop round to my Mum's to use hers".

right. So she says she doesn't own a printer and because she doesn't go on to explain she can read off a screen makes her somehow unfit for office or a liar ?? Interesting conclusion. Wrong but interesting.

May be it’s just a massive look at me I am a brummy normal girl . Printer no don’t have one , even though I need one clearly to do my fucking job, Parliamentary procedure, I don’t know it even though I am a fucking mp. Big words oh I am just a brummy

80k salary
24k office expenses
160k she pays to her husband (well we do)

Can you quote back to me where I said this please?

so go on what was the original point you were cack handedly trying to make because she doesn't have a printer - I am agog.

It's that a person who requires a printer to perform their job should have a printer to perform their job and I'd be extremely surprised if she didn't, rather than using this as a cheap "i'm just like you" stunt.

why does she need a printer? as I said if you can read you can read off the screen of a device? It is 2019.

Because whilst it may be current year, various parts of any administrative process still require paper. The fact that she went somewhere else to print this shows the need for it. This seems like a silly point to argue tbh

To print letters that she writes may be to her constituents or print shit off, you know the usual stuff

No - thats done by her staff including her husband at the office. I'd be pretty fucking worried if my MP was wasting time typing letters - printing them off - putting them in an envelope and posting them herself when all this shit is going on

She has staff - including her husband - to do that for her as you pointed out. Is that too hard to imagine happening?
