Question Time

It boils my piss. I'm a supporter of the BBC and its programming. Sadly the bias in its news/politics department will kill it. The pigfucker put his Tory mates in the head positions and the coverage has suffered ever since.

"The Prime Minister has lost four parliamentary votes. Removed 21 MP's from his party and looks like a lame duck in his first six weeks. To discuss this we are joined by Jess Phillip's who's going to appease him and slag off Jeremy Corbyn.."

Sadly that's true.

They are burying themselves, the young in particular see through their bullshit, the BBC is dying slowly but surely.

Except that they are and along with Milne and Murray are Matt Wrack, Steve Howell and Andrew Fisher - all part of Jezzer's daily programming team. Each and every one continues to be a member of the Communist Party of Great Britain and several regularly contribute to the Morning Star, including McDonnell.
- don't forget Jenny Formby either - the Labour Party General Secretary and girlfriend of Len McCluskey - Degsy Hatton's best mate.
You seriously don't know about this wholesale Marxist entryism - the party leadership is a Stalinist cabal and even now still carries on its antique feud with the Trotskyists in Momentum.
You are saying that like you think Communism is a bad thing.

Have you been hacked by Macarthy or are their reds under your bed?

Stalinist cabals and Momentum Trotskyists, Marxist entryism hahahhahahahahahahahahahahah

What about us poor Leninists, don't we get a mention in your fantasy world.

I am stakeholder in the Morning Star, the only truthful, independent newspaper in the UK. You don't get right wing bullshit in there.

Ive asked more times than I care to remember why Remainers haven't voted for the only Remain party going (LibDems) and they all just spout nonsense, and vote for the fence sitters. No doubt at the next election loads of them will again vote Labour citing "other issues" …….and then gripe when the clarity of a message like "leave means leave" means we leave with no deal. How Labour still polls above 5% is a mystery.
Maybe because the Lib Dems are a neo-liberal party that hides behind the mask of centrism.

I would not vote for them even if Mel C came round my house and gave me a blow job to do so. They are cunts.

And I am not a remainer anyway

I know what I know and it isn't reactionary bollocks as seen on this site.

The comment was about cummins not being in the tory party yet having influence and power over it's actions.

The two people you used as a counter arguement were in the comminist party, but are now in the labour party so no non labour member is doing what cummins is, so I reiterate my original comment your arguement is flawed.

What they were in is irrelevant to the topic.

Also you don't have to be a marxist to write for the morning star

Amazing how on a UK programme the SNP guy was left to rant for absolute eons spouting nonsense that wasn't anywhere nearing answering the question that was asked, whereas most others (Thornberry excepted) were harangued by constant interruptions from the chair. Its almost like the BBC has an agenda, surely not.
Er... she kept interrupting him to demand when the SNP wanted an election.

Man the fuck up and campaign for revoke you useless fucker
Thornberry should just have said Labour's current policy is what Johnson and Rees-Mogg once advocated. Negotiate a deal then have a second referendum (on this deal or remain).

Thornberrys problem is she mixes party policy with her preference IF aother referendum happens and then it sounds confused.

She should just say what the policy is and worry about a referendum if it happens

Are newspapers reporting news anymore?

You don't read the Morning Star because it is truthful and independent, you read it because it aligns with the political bias you have.

If Boris does something wrong, the Independent, Guardian, Morning Star etc will all jump on it. If Corbyn does something wrong, the Mail, Express etc all jump on it.

Let's be honest who gives a toss? None of the trollop they all equally produce is relevant to real life.

I read it because I am a stakeholder in it and it deserves support as the only newspaper of its kind and it is not owned by a right wing media baron.

Thornberry's problem is the same as Labour's problem. They want a second referendum and they want to remain but saying that will get them absolutely destroyed.

But they don't .

The policy is leave with a good deal.

If a referendum happens then campaign for remain.

Two differetn positions for two different situations.

That's called forward planning.

I only know one person who read the Morning Star, he was in the Communist Party in the 80’s, couldn’t get elected as a Councillor with his politics so switched to Labour. Served on Tameside Council for around a decade, nice little income from his expenses then deselected. He’s now a member of the Green Party as he approaches his 60th birthday.

He was the biggest communist I know but like a lot of left wingers opinions change with experience.

As an aside, he was shagging a girl of Indian descent (she’s my wife’s best mate), on the way to City one day one of the lads who had an “alternative” view in life, said to him, “for all your faults you are at least doing your best for the Asian community”

He used to wear a T-shirt with Che Guevara on it, I’ve not seen him for a while but I guess he’s now got T-shirt with a carrot on it.

Basically the U.K. want to continue to do business etc. with the rest of the EU on broadly the same terms as exists currently.
However we do not want to pay the membership fees or lose our identity (sovereignty).
Leaving the EU will not improve our current deals with the EU and it will weaken our position throughout the world.
A worst case scenario could lead to some kind of civil war too ( or even occupation by a hostile nation).
We are fortunate indeed that America is going to give us free protection against any hostile forces, all we have to do is to become another American state.(Now about that Sovereignty - King Donald anyone?)
Some of this post is tongue in cheek, but be very careful what you wish for.....

For the time being. When the GE is finally announced a second referendum will be part of the manifesto.

Sadly, in fptp they influence enough of the electorate to win a referendum, and did.
Millions dont vote, "they're all the same", "our votes dont count" , is two of the most repeated reactions when asked. That is 'real life', to them, in local politics as much as 70%; in national politics half the electorate. The deadly serious ping-pong that erupts in the politics threads on here and social media mean nothing to them. Westminster as a body have no intention of derailing the system, the press even more so, it's what they exist for, power with no responsibility, unelected and untouchable. Democracy has no chance when "information" is in the hands of such organisations, censored, spun and just as serious, ignored. Not a problem if you are a tory, everyone else tough shift...
Wasn't 'that' long ago when being found lying to the public would be followed by resignation from public office Now, not even a blush, 'shame' has joined 'white collar crime detection' and the dodo. Extinct. Probably the nadir of our politics is the whitewashing of johnson's cabinet picks, overtaking the racist, repugnant 'hostile environment' of may's home office pogrom, fck me, govt vans with "go home you're not wanted" driving about, yet johnson has gone lower..... much to the satisfaction of the mail/sun fans, it must be said.

In essence you have agreed with him. The majority of Tories, labour and Lib Dem MPs just want the status quo, they want to remain and don’t want any deal whatsoever. The Labour policy is just an attempt not to lose to many leaver votes because they lack the courage of their convictions. How long do they plan to dither on this deal before they tell us not to vote for it?

How many times do we have to go round and round with extensions, deals, no majorities before some party as a whole makes a decision. In the interests of all just revoke the fucking thing and hold a general election.

All parties except bxp will campaign for remain. Some votes will be lost on either side and life moves on. The battle for want of a better phrase has been won but Labour don’t have the bollocks to take the prize.

There was a S*n 'journalist' yesterday that tried to hand a blouse to Jeremy Corbyn because Boris Johnson had called him a big girl's blouse. They're not the only ones and it's not new. Journalists are supposed to report the news, but all too often they try to create the news. The other one is reporting on the reporting, where journalists have such an inflated sense of their own importance that they consider what other journalists say about something to be news in itself.

What’s wrong calling it “the sun”? It’s a shit rag of a paper but we’re not over sensitive like the Dippers, are we?
