It's better for Foden to get calls for the U21 team since he starts and plays 90 minutes there. For England he wouldn't start or even play. Look at Maddison.

With Jesus fit again it will be interesting to see who he replaces on the bench against Norwich. Let’s hope it isn’t Foden.

Angelino most likely as Cancelo can play left. The problem (for Foden) is when Mendy is fit again.

Am I the only one getting sick and tired of Guardiolas treatment of foden, what's wrong with the manager? Were crying out for the kid to play. It's making a mockery of our youth set up. He,ll be due a testimonial before he gets a run in the team. We Want The Kids.

Thats a really good point, the squad is actually a bit bloated at the moment and when/if everyone is fit Angelino and Foden would basically never make the bench.

If everyone was fit (using our most used eleven from last season plus Rodri in for Ferna, and Stones pairing Laporte) four names need to miss out from the following.
  1. Jesus
  2. Mahrez
  3. Sane
  4. Foden
  5. Gundogan
  6. Fernandinho
  7. Mendy
  8. Angelino
  9. Otamendi
  10. Cancelo
The "problem" is reduced obviously with Sane and Laporte's long term injuries, and Angelino has to be first out otherwise, but who else misses out from this group? It's a tough call every week.
  1. Jesus
  2. Mahrez
  3. Foden
  4. Gundogan/David Silva
  5. Fernandinho
  6. Mendy/Zinchenko
  7. Cancelo/Walker

Have you ever considered that Foden might want to play more football and isn’t happy at the minutes he’s getting?
She obviously didn't read the article. It wasn't trying to imply there is a problem, nor is it trying to make one. A good portion argues that he's actually getting time in line with most other young players in the premier league and it literally ends with the line "It is surely worth having a little patience". Though it does say he's frustrated with not playing.
