Another new Brexit thread

Would the first point matter to the salesman even if its true? He has a signed agreement? Agreed with the then purchaser. If someone else comes along and says the lease deal isn't good enough but won't specify why the salesman is holding the aces because he has the agreement. When Mr J storms off he does so on foot because he has no car and there is still the agreement to pay certain sums that can be referred to the court. Mr J may feel his is the better man but he will still be on public transport and arguing the toss about a payment his Mrs has signed up to.

He could get on his bike and eat less because he is poorer, good for the enviroment,good for his health. He could also politely inform his wife never to sign any deal you cannot get out of.

We could do this all day:-)

You have decided that all the above is set in stone and you may very well be right. Johnson isn't going to admit to this even if it's true. You are arguing what you want or think what will happen. I'm just telling you you ain't getting it today or tomorrow. You are going to have to wait a few weeks at least like the rest of the continent.

You may get lucky he could be on one final big bluff and then revokes or resigns. No need to cancel any engagements to celebrate just yet.

The Brexit we get is determined by the EU. The future relationship deal we will get is shaped by the EU. Deals are shaped by the stronger party. They are not shaped by the weaker party especially if that party has no domestic consensus or legislative support. If we haven’t figured that out after three years of the EU determining the agenda and the sequencing of talks then we will never figure it out.

Best we can get is some softening. We also need to put workable and detailed proposals on the table if we want changes. That way you can look to drive the agenda as it puts the other side under pressure. We did that with our version of the backstop which we got the EU to agree to go along with it rather than their preferred basis. We won the day partly because we assured them this would get the WA through Parliament and we know how that turned out but that’s the key to our leverage. Change this and we can get it through Parliament. Just give us this and we get the WA ratified. That is the one argument the EU will be seduced by. Unfortunately Johnson has shredded that one with his antics.
 
With little help from the EU Johnson has taken enough rope under the (mis)guidance of Cummings to ensure he can hang himself and the Tory Party. The EU have seen through the paper thin ploy they aren't going to be the fall guy they will just let Johnson waffle on and have us fall out on a No Deal disaster - they know that in doing so his days are numbered and maybe just maybe they will end up talking to someone who they can do a deal with.

That means that you must be looking for a way around the law?” Johnson replied:

Well you know those are your words. What we’re going to do is come out on October 31st deal or no deal.

Now I do not have any idea what he is planning - but it seems that there must be some loophole - although it all seemed watertight to me

But - why do you think that he would advise what is planned and give the sycophants time to plot?
