Discussion on here is not a waste of time but it is with you. Sovereignty is a specific constitutional concept with a specific meaning which I'm not repeating. In the context of an argument that membership of the EU involves a loss of sovereignty it can have no other meaning, and as I've told you repeatedly the assertion that sovereignty has been lost is in constitutional terms just plain wrong. I refer for the last time to the last line of my earlier post.
It is frankly ridiculous to try to deny that this country's membership of the EU has not involved a progressive loss of our sovereignty i.e. independent control over our political and economic policies. I can only suppose you mistakenly think that because sovereignty to make UK law resides only in our Parliament, and since that Parliament is the only available mechanism to voluntarily make ourselves subject to laws made elsewhere, it means that there is no loss of our sovereignty. It is a wholly circular argument and the tautology just disguises the obvious fact that when we enter any international treaty we become, to a lesser or greater degree, a rule taker rather than a rule maker. Brexit has always been about sovereignty as defined in its widest sense - a debate to decide who has the final say in following our national interests and to what extent they are under UK democratic control.

Girl at work today said she watched rise of the Nazis on bbc 2, brilliant documentary series by the way, I asked her what she thought as I too had watched- “they had the better outfits”

I’m still shaking my head at her now.

Not relevant to Brexit but thought I’d share.

Lol she would love my brown shirt and jack boots ;-)

The Supreme Court disagrees.

Not related to Bryan Ferry is she?

Agreed. Time for the Tory rebels to apologise and come home with their tails between their legs. Apart from that massive weapon Grieve who can fuck right off.

Swinson will be waving her welcoming arms to him as we speak lol

An outcome of cutting (excuse the pun) 21,000 front line police.

Conservatives eh. What are they like?
Really you feel it's the result of cutting 21000 police officers why certain people feel free to stick a knife in someone, well if it gives you some comfort to blame the tories I'm fine with that but all I'll say is 1959 the were less than 72 thousand police officers in the whole of the UK and there were 266 homicides which included manslaughter and infanticide in England and Wales, today there are 126 thousand police officers and the capital alone has suffered 132 homicides so far this year sort of gives lie to your theory.
Anybody who needs a policeman to ensure they don't stick a knife into someone else shouldn't be walking planet Earth.

I could be an argumentative abusive Cnut like you and a few others but I fear I wouldn’t last long so will instead employ some sarcasm now and then.

Not long to go now dids it’s nearly that time when posts you don’t like can disappear;-)
What abuse?
The only abuse I can see is you calling me a cnut.

Juncker states a no deal Brexit would be catastrophic for both sides, so not an empty threat after all eh?? Also states a Brexit deal is in the offing. If Boris agrees a deal and we leave on October 31st this place should be fun ;)
Your faith in Johnson is touching.

If Boris agrees a deal he will have to get it through the HoC. That should be fun.

Impossible as he could come back, say we are staying in and revoking and the SNP, Greens, Lib Dem’s and a few Labour would feel they have to vote against it just for shits and giggles.

Roll on the GE!

Juncker says deal can be done.

Like a circus ride this situation.
