More fake news ! Or maybe not.
Glad to see they’re finally taking some action to address the issue of Islamophobia within the party.

No, this is a thread about the Conservative party and the story was in the news yesterday, and thus relevant even if it makes you uncomfortable. Regardless, why would I want to deflect from anti-Semitism in the Labour Party? I’m opposed to any form of discrimination.A poor attempt to deflect the anti Semitic issues that are far far worse in the party you support maybe?

All true - but you forgot another significant factor - that stupid fucking manifesto in which she basically fucked off the core Tory supportWhy do you think May lost her 20 point lead? Serious question.
I'll tell you what I think. She lost it for 3 reasons, none of which will apply in the next GE:
1. People seriously underestimated Corbyn. They didn't really know him other than the negative image painted by the press. They hadn't heard him speak much, or campaign much. They got to know him a bit and warmed to him a bit. And he ran a great campaign. It was his high watermark from which he's steadily declined ever since.
2. Theresa May is a robot void of any charisma whatsoever. In fact she has anti-charisma. A turd is more appealing. She ran the worst possible campaign imaginable, with dire policies, appalling u-turns, dismal media performances and no shows. She didn't remotely deserve to win. In fact she should have been shot for that effort.
3. No-one expected Corbyn to win. This has two effects which helped him enormously. First, May felt emboldened enough to put some real horrors in the manifesto, to get them out of the way whilst riding high. Bad, bad mistakes. Second, the electorate were pretty pissed off after 7 years of austerity and wanted to say so. The protest vote went to Corbyn', but not only from people who wanted him to win, also from people who didn't. People who just wanted to give the Tories a slap were able to vote Labour knowing they wouldn't get in anyway.
None of the above will apply in the next GE. People know Corbyn now, and in the main, they don't like him or what he's offering. The stereotypical donkey jackets may love him, but the average 2-up, 2-diwn semi owners do not. He's popular in his bubble only.. His personal approval ratings are dire. Labour is again behind in the polls. 11 points at last count. And he can't run a better campaign than last time, or at least not much. The last one was excellent and doesn't leave much room to be better.
The Tories cannot possibly be as bad as last time. The last effort, defines abysmal. Anything they do this time around, will be an improvement. Anything, even Boris, is s huge improvement.
This time, people are extremely mindful that Corbyn could win. He won't get a boost from protest votes.
Well said - sometimes things just need to be broken to be properly resetSadly Brexit probably needs to happen so that the country can recalibrate to the realities of the world.
This exceptionalism is evident in all parts of society and it's going to take a major shock to shake this nonsense out of people.
Problem being many lives will be ruined.

Tory out of touch ?
Fails to understand that if they marched at weekend it wouldn't be a 'strike'
Lions led by donkeys
I don't know if anybody has ever heard of Mark Francois total tory brexiteeer bellend who appears on tons of political programs and usually ends up getting a new arsehole ripped for him due to him being thick as pig sit and trotting as the same crap on Brexit (Wil Self did a proper job on him). But here is ex military man (TA Infantry during the cold war) being a cockwomble dressing up as a policemen in a Tim Gammon Martin pub having another arsehole ripped out of him again, https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...lice-vest-wetherspoons-rayleigh-a9110661.html
It's classic right wing politics the oldest trick in the book. The weird thing is being patriotic literally means wanting the very best for your country. This is the worst and most worrying aspect of Brexit - the way Leave has turned Brexit into some sort of test or patriotism........ Remain = traitor?

Wanting to crash the economy and tear up social fibres of the country in a no deal death cult is in no way patriotic.
no deal death cult?
lol
Literally unless you are some wealthy media mogal and/ or hedge funder then no deal is not going to benefit you. You really do have to be some special kind of simpleton to be promoting it. I spoke to some dotty old dear handing me leaflet from the brexit party. An absolute fruitcake like some warped Jehovah's witnesses trying to entice you into their death cult that refuses the fact that you will due joinning them as scaremongering.
