Is the correct answer so get it over with, leave and if it turns into the shit show you all predict then rejoin and scream told you so whilst throwing rotten veg at all us nazi leavers in our stocks.

Until it happens, brexit that is though this is an open sore that will never heal and will pour puss everywhere.

Rarely I agree with you BI but in this case I fear you are correct. Unfortunately? This could, and I stress could - not will, mean it turning into a ‘shit show’. Do we want to take that chance? It could also mean we will be the greatest country on earth; let’s face it we are already one of the top 7(?) so the only way is up??

Democracy is about choice and often making mistakes but you only hope you dont make them and when you do, try and learn from them.

What it isnt is 650 telling over 37 million they dont like the choice they made and that they know better, after all its us that put those 650 into parliament and can change them if we feel they are not representing us as we wish.

Im not wedded to brexit despite these threads and can see why many if not all think I am but i am wedded to our democracy and the promise parliament made to the electorate and that was to respect the result and ensure that no matter what that result was they would honour it.

Said it before and will again, i voted to leave but had remain won and parliament then said fuck it we are leaving anyway i would have been as vocal as i am now that the result had to be respected and that we have to remain, its that important as far as i am concerned.

It isnt about winning, its about our democracy and it will survive a bad mistake, fuck we make them all the time but it wont survive votes suddenly being ignored because a political elite didnt like the result.

Unfortunately this is going to rumble on for years to come no matter what the recent outcome will be. It was rife during Maggie Thatchers time in the 80’s but she slapped down the wets. Don’t think this is going away any time soon even if we get another referendum.

It’s primarily a Tory issue and we’ll hopefully see the back of the cunts for a period of time.

Less than 10% of voters said the EU was a crucial part of their politics before the referendum was called. Those fuckers projected their inner arguments in the party onto the general public.

It’s a conundrum BI. We voted leave and then had an election and we, yes all of us, voted and put these clowns into Parliament to represent us. The only way you can get them out is with a General Election. Blame Maggie May and the Tories, if she hadn’t gone to the country we would have been out 6 months ago and we would have some idea about whether leaving was a ‘shit storm’ or not.

Honestly i only see one way out of it and that is to leave.

GE returns a hung parliament split on brexit.

Second ref similar and if leave wins again it wont happen again because of parliament and if remain wins leavers will go bonkers.

Leave, hope it turns out ok and if it doesnt then rejoin and move on with everyone having had their way in leaving and ultimately being back in the club.

The result and vote cannot be erased and forgotten.

As a remainer, I think that will be the only way forward. If we stay this will rumble on for years. If it does go tits up, and I hope it doesn’t, will we get back in? Probably as there is no DeGaule to keep us out.

Almost certainly, but at what cost? We would probably lose the rebate. We would probably be required to join the Eurozone. We would probably be required to join the Schengen zone. There would probably be a reduction on our current ability to veto certain EU legislation.

We would be in a substantially weaker position than we are in now, and (paradoxically) would be far less able than we currently are to ensure we do not become part of a federal union.

And we would have achieved precisely nothing other than to voluntarily weaken our own position.

Your not ‘scaremongering’ by any chance are you? ;)

He had it right and knew we would never be a fit for the project and boy was he right!

Price to pay and if we ever did rejoin then join fully instead of being half in, half out and the constant shite that goes with it.

He’s a **** but he’s bang on here.

A dollop of Stans cream?

No thanks!

fuck you take yourself far too seriously.

Maybe if you took yourself more seriously you’d understand I was joking and using leave rhetoric to make the joke.

There’s still time for you to improve your level of understanding though.

Talking of backstops Foster has done in a piece in the Telegraph outlining why it won’t go away no matter the pressure. Industry, agriculture, the main opposition party all back Varadkar’s stand. In short no deal is better then compromise.

You see this whole border issue was weaponised (someone mentioned it, I can't remember who),.... by the DUP.
Our governments stance is perfectly correct as far as i can see. This Tory government saying the border issue will be sorted in a couple of years is no different to another Tory government almost 100 years ago setting up the border in the first place and saying that there will be a border commission set up that will review the boundaries and revisit it in the future.
That worked out well didn't it.

Farage Show. LBC just now

Caller : ‘Just want to thank you for everything you’ve done in Politics the last couple of years. erm basically I was an avid remainer and then it occurred to me, leaving was the best course of action. Something monumental happened and I realised we had to leave.’

Farage ‘Thankyou - And what was that Monumental moment ?’

Caller : ‘Well basically I got kicked in the head by a horse ‘
