Literally the only thing that matters in reality is the dressing room.

Pep has rightly defended the player, said he will have learnt a lesson from it and we can be sure the players are in full siege mentality mode.

It really doesn’t matter what Holt thinks.

And we assume everyone in the dressing room is 100% on side with the way this has been handled? Bold take.

We are living in an era where the powers that be don’t actually want to solve the issue of racism, sexism and homophobia. To do so would take courage, losing a lot of money and making some unpopular decisions.

Instead, they want to appear to be seen as solving the issues so they will make the most out of situations like this to ‘send a message’, whilst doing very little about real racism.

Can never understand why our football club puts up with the shit stirring journo's and them offer them first class hospitality , our media department needs to grow a pair and refuse entry to the likes of Rag Simon Stone . What can the reporters do about it ?, Give us a hard time , they already do that , so f*ck 'em , and ban the twats . couldnt stand the Pisscan at the Swamp but he wouldnt put up with this bollocks , he wouldnt talk to the BBC for months , we need to do something similar.

Yep its weird the reporters on sunday supplement last week say liverpool are a very good club regarding excess and communication while we are not very good! So liverpool slap down any negativity in seconds and have a lot of positivity in the media!
We doing something very wrong.

Ain't going away any time soon either...

A pathetic cockroach of a journalist. Disgusting opportunistic faux outrage for his wider audience that want anything City demonized. To use racism this way to gain uneducated, partisan likes and harm an individual this way is a disgrace.

The world has gone ever so slightly mad and our club need to understand that we live in that madness, whilst Bernado IMO has done nothing wrong it was always going to hit the headlines and the laughable press we have in this country would run with it. Maybe our media controllers could have done this better who knows, but there's blood in the water and innocence doesn't absolve you of punishment in the crazy media knee jerk society we're living in right now.

He is right but lots of these wankers probably just lurk on here, pick up all the best ideas and compose a post. It will be nothing that hasn't been said here.

If that cartoon is still being used in Portugal and Bernardo obviously grew up with it then he will see nothing wrong or racist in the cartoon. They will add that he is racist to compare a black person to the cartoon, therefore implying all black people look the same, but he didn't. He didn't compare Sterling to the cartoon because he doesn't resemble the character, he likened it to a young Mendy because he thought it looked like Mendy, not because both are black.

Unfortunately for Bernardo there are millions of people out there who dissect everything looking for offence so he is being slaughtered and the mob won't test until they have their blood.

It's a harsh lesson to learn. Personally I would withdraw all communication with the press on every level except anything obligatory and then it would be as brief as possible and totally sterile until they rue the day they started attacks on our club.

I see the back page headline in the Mail is 'second race row rocks City'. I'm not going to read the Mail so does anybody know what the 'second' one is? I assume it's something like
