Sheffield United were not incredible, they were pretty basic to be honest, hardworking with little skill or guile, just what you would expect of them, a good, honest, newly promoted side where as your lot were no great shakes but had the good fortune of another goal keeper throwing one in for you.. Breathe all you want my friend, it's fcukin' 7 games in!!

I know this will sound silly, but this is a liverpool thread on a City fan forum, so all good when fans of other clubs come on taking the piss and as in 6times, saying there was never a 10 point lead, game in hand or not.

Also since you have been on here, you have stated the following,
liverpool didn’t bottle their lead of ten points (City with a game in hand)

Again they had to play City and only needed a draw, but lost, but definitely still didn’t bottle it.

liverpool were not bankrupt and going into administration and they were barely able to service their own debt, but definitely was not a bailout.

All the above in cult land is true and should be treated as reasonable debate and not fucking insane ramblings of blinkered cultists.

liverpool could not continue to operate that season, the public owned bank could and should of took control, but didn’t and made considerably less money for us taxpayers then they should of, because it was liverpool and would of incurred the wrath of the cult if they did so, so let the lowest bidder clear the debt and in effect actually pay nothing for the club, yes, you are a financial guru.

I wish you had actually read my posts. I have never denied that there was a lead that Liverpool had and that City overcame. I just disagree that Liverpool bottled it. Given the number of points that we dropped after we had that lead, I view it that it was City's superb run of results that won the title, not a bottling act.

No more comments from me re. bailouts or otherwise.

I've never used the phrase oil money. My only comment on this was to state that failing to even acknowledge the financial power advanced to you by your owners (without going back through my posts I can't remember my original wording) made it easier for rival fans to refer to you as Oil City.
