I suspect it's about as strong as his connection to hezbola, hammas, international communism, Czech spies, anti semitism and everything else he gets linked with in the press. ;-)
It's as predictable as city/oil money stories, and symptomatic of the tendency to play the man rather than the ball in modern politics. In fairness BJ is getting similar treatment. It's the brave new 'liberal' world we live in.

Ha ha - do you honestly think after over 3 years I’m that arsed if Brexit happens or not? I’ve said for ages that I don’t think we’ll ever be out, and if I was that invested in it then he would be getting my vote. He’s not. And neither is Farage. Or Swinson. Or Corbyn obviously.

There is not alot you can do to make a nuclear deterrent cost effective. It needs to be able to hit Russia/China/Iran if needed you cannot go cheap on it. It has to be operated from submarines that can lurk under the icecap undetected otherwise it can be knocked out. We could not beat Russia or China if it all came on top but they know we can pretty much destroy any place of importance in those countries and maintain the threat of mutually assured destruction. Costs cannot be cut on this and to suggest they can without reducing greatly its effectiveness is fanciful. Ideally of course everyone would do the decent thing and scrap nukes all together but sadly its not going to happen.

He seems to think making the armed forces stronger means making them more able to respond to disasters where aid is required but not fighting wars, indeed two new aircraft carriers with more helicopters but no jets. A very expensive international rescue if you like but useless to fight a war...its nuts.

As you will gather I am no lover of the Tories and thats putting it mildly but I am bloody sure Corbyn would pull any stunt he could just the same as the buffoon if he was in a position to do so.

I’ll debate anything with anyone except you as you have demonstrated on numerous occasions that it is a pointless activity that gets nowhere. I’ve made my views clear on Scottish independence on numerous occasions. Try post 9784 for example if you’re really that interested in what I think.

How about inviting IRA members into the HoC just a couple of weeks after the IRA bomb attack against our government at the Grand Hotel in Brighton in 1984? The incident that infuriated Kinnock so much

How about observing a minute’s silence at a meeting of the Wolfe Tone Society for 8 IRA members ambushed by the SAS at Loughall in 1987?

Do you think this is acceptable behaviour for a prospective future Prime Minister?

I’m pro-trident, you don’t need to tell me the benefits or sell it to me but as I say, it’s one aspect of a manifesto and I wish to read what Corbyn would do as his alternative.

What was the motivation behind inviting them?

It doesn’t sit particularly well with me no but then it’s not enough for me to wish him not to be PM. A minutes silence and inviting them to talk in the HoC is hardly plotting. I’m not Corbyn’s biggest fan and several things about his past and present I do not like, I just want context, detail and balance.

Trident was in the Labour manifesto for the last election. Some people just make assumptions based on fuck all.

I never suggested he plotted with them. Just that he’s clearly a sympathiser. McDonnell even more so.
