But I have said I will accept May's deal & be totally happy with a 'Norway' deal.

So why are you mentioning me as 'the problem' or indeed any remainers ?

It would not be the majority of 'remainers' voting against a Norway option in Parliament, it would be the whole Conservative party plus the DUP.

It's about time you lot stopped telling lies & admitted, that it's your own side, who would be going fucking mental, if we left on those terms, not us.
I'm certainly a problem. Either Remain or a Canada type deal. Any Brexit light is a waste of time and certainly makes us rule takers. My preference remains revoke A 50.

Same old same old. Yes we've been through this 100 times.

But your final paragraph is the nub of it. We have the basis of a deal if we can find a solution to the NI issue, and that's where the breakthrough will come if there is one. For example, Boris could ditch the support of the DUP and go for an NI-only backstop. There's other possibilities being explored as I am sure you realise.

But NONE of this was open to discussion until we threatened leaving with no deal.
The NI only backstop was proposed by the EU!! We said no!

In my opinion it was expedient for him and Johnson to vote for it at the third time of asking when they knew there was no chance of it going through. It was a means of getting their hands on the leadership of the Tory Party by pretending they were Tory loyalists.

I must say that's a hilarious response to my post "You need to stop with the conspiracy theories mate, it's not doing anything for your peace of mind." Heeehehehehe.

My peace of mind is fine. It’s not me who’s position has changed overnight and refuses to contemplate that Johnson is a lying fraud who will do anything to keep his grip on power.

Parliament generally speaking wants a deal and then to remain, in that order.

It’s true the majority voted or supported remain but the vast majority have voted for a Brexit deal over remain.

Johnson needs to get a deal first and then it’s going to tough to get it through in time, without a slight extension.

He can’t just pit it against no deal, that’s not how it works and no deal has to be voted on separately.

Why does no deal have to be treated separately?

MP's voted 3 years ago to implement the law that currently underpins no deal.

If they don't want no deal then all they have to do is vote for the deal.

Of course we could always make it up as we go along so that we don't leave at all...

I think if a feasible deal comes back, without the backstop and the opposition don’t vote it through, it’ll kill them. Then again, they’ll be killed if Johnson delivers Brexit anyway.

It’s a lose lose for the opposition and Johnson must know that bringing a deal back is his best chance of being PM long term.
The only problem being that if that deal was possible, that’s what would have been brought back at the end of last year.

Time will tell with that. I currently cannot imagine what a new deal would look like, without the backstop, other than maybe a backstop in the Irish Sea.

Sure. I think it is a political decision at the discretion of the PM as to when and for how long to prorogue parliament and the courts should not be meddling in politics. As to my qualifications, i am a member of the human race. Any such member is fully qualified to have an opinion on any matters they chose.

Of course it’s a political decision. However it’s also a power vested in the crown, and like all such powers it’s got to be exercised within the limits prescribed by law. Or did you think that because it’s a political decision that prevents the laws that govern the other 65 million people in this country from applying to BJ?

As to your opinion, just imagine they were firing up the Large Hadron Collider at CERN and were wondering what settings to use. Should they go to the top eleven physicists they have and ask them, or go to someone whose qualifications to opine on the matter consist solely of their membership of the human race?

I’d set the large hadron collider to warp factor 12.

I honestly believe that you and others are making way too much out of that particular comment. There’s plenty to criticise Johnson for, but it seems some are just looking for literally any excuse to have a pop.
Spot on - the guy is a buffoon - there is plenty of opportunity to pull him to pieces

There will be sooooo much that leaks out from the past and he will make fuck-ups that will see him fall

But all the faux outrage is just the desperation of Remainers that are getting concerned that he might just get Brexit done IMO

I personally don't think he will - but their nervousness is palpable
