How do people see it going for the rags in the longer term. I’m very much enjoying their slide into mediocrity but then I keep seeing “record profits” and them being 3rd in the Forbes rich list. It seems like in the short term the still have the chance to buy their way out of this mess. How can they destruct? Like decades of mediocrity and then relegation... can it happen? Or are we beyond that because of their fan base and riches?
Help me dream this dream!

On his day, he’s unplayable. But most of the time, he doesn’t even now seem to try. He’s like a much better version of Balotelli - bags of ability but no mental strength or discipline. Unfortunately it’s that side of his game which is most prevalent hence the majority view on him. He’s not short of talent though.

Are you still here spouting your absolute drivel !

First There’s no one in world football like Booby Firminho, now Pogbas unplayable on his day ! Which day is that then , is deff not any day ending in Y

Name the games he was unplayable in !

Unplayable like Messi or Ronaldo ! Not even fit to lace either of there boots....

What you going for with the hat trick..... Arsenal thread to say the Ozil is world class and is better than De Bruyne !

Sir I believe your village has lost its idiot ! Please return

It's quite unbelievable how shite they are run. Pretty much every expensive signing they've made has been a flop. And they've got a manager who wouldn't get a look in at any other PL club.

Record profits will only last for a short while. At the moment they are being kept relevant by the Media and the sycophants who have followed them since 1999. IF mediocrity continues both will fall off. You mention buying their way out, well it has not happened yet and they have spent millions. their wage structure is also hampering them, how do you attract anyone decent now who wont demand 350k a week minimum.
Their infrastructure and stadium are 20 years out of date. unless we win a world cup bid and the government bail them out, as they did in 1966 who is going to pay for the 200k repairs/improvements. Yes they are 3rd in the rich list, but if they don't invest the only way is down. I was invited to corporate for the 1-6, the catering was awful and I told the host so. Nothing has changed since then in that department, nothing has changed for the better in 30 years.
in short, the future is bright cos the future is Blue.

Pogba's record does not stand up to any scrutiny. In his best season at Juve he played attacking midfield and scored 8 league goals (including one pen). This was in a dominant Juve team which strolled through very slow-paced games against poor opposition all season. The people who say he is great are indoctrinated by the media and do not attend matches. He looks great on Youtube. The United season ticket holders I know (who have watched the Rags since the 70s) say he is shite. In fact I have never met a matchgoing United fan who says anything different but there is an army of people on Twitter (and in the media) who say he is great. Pogba is a fraud. Lingard's stats are better then his at United!

PL (excluding pens):
Pogba: Apps: 93(7), Goals: 17, Ass: 25.
De Bruyne: Apps: 110(17), Goals: 25, Ass: 54.

I wonder which one was half the price of the other.

we must never ever take the foot of the neck that is holding them down ??? football is a funny old game and time and place is key, but the future all depends on here and now because the here and now is the building for tomorrow, and that is what fergie and united never did they took for granted nobody and i mean nobody could ever touch them both on and off the field of play

the Glazers first priority is their brand name and reputation back in the USA, they will rape Man United financially if they need to prop up business at home, a collapse on the markets could see the end of United, many things could damage them as they have to other large businesses in the past, just because of who they are doesent mean their exempt from going to the wall

They'll remain a mid table club for a number of years but will eventually get it right due to their money. When I say right I mean they may end up as good as Liverpool or Spurs. Who knows if they can win the title in the next decade, certainly doesn't look like it. However they have more chance of winning the title than getting relegated, IMO though I'd put both at about 5%.

Regretfully their day will come again, the forces of darkness will see to that. I doubt however they will ever dominate in the way the did in the days of the other "purplenose". Whilst the premier league flourishes and rich men use it as a playground others will have the means to at least compete with them not just here but across Europe.

If football goes as I suspect and we end up in a global club set up at some point in the future there will be many who can compete with them from places such as China Russia and of course the USA to name a few. I think they have had their finest hour though sadly a Sunderland type plummet into obscurity is a dream to far I think.

In the meantime we can enjoy the fact that they are so far behind us that even the "mind the gap" joke doent cover it really, as the Grand Canyon is closer to the truth.

the new generations of fans all over the world will not know any better and you can not hide manchester city winning everything all the time, its the club winning and playing great football that the people want when watch on tv all over the world and they fall in love with, the building of something special is the hard work that's been done in the last ten years the small trees that we planted are start to produce fruit and how sweet are they
