You demonstrate its desperation in your reaction. Who is suggesting that the UK would lower its food safety standards as a consequence of an independent trade deal with the US or any other country? After Brexit it would be 100% our call but that is not the case now, if the EU decided to change its rules to permit insect parts in commodities we would have to agree.

Because ...............Profit

You are the one who constantly cries about it, yet rarely posts anything without insulting someone but can't see how ridiculous that attitude is, Boris.

Nobody on this whole forum continually, personally, insults people like you do & nobody complains about others insulting them, even half as much as you do.
You post insults more frequently and of a more personal and offensive nature on this thread than anyone - and that by some distance

But any way the point I was making was to test @stonerblue consistency - there is a oft repeated situation here that some Remainers can post just what the fuck they like and as often as they like yet Leave posters get pulled up for it. So my point was to him/her not you.

BTW - I am loving the manner in which you are hiding behind the Boris appellation - I am guessing that '...yeah I have been proven totally wrong and I can see that I really embarrassed myself...." was just too hard to type. The other person running away and having to be childish is always a satisfying way to be proven to be right.

The scary thing is that the people who believe this shite are allowed to vote. Fortunately many either can’t read, can’t spell the letter x, struggle to follow the voter registration instructions or get lost on their way to the polling station, so their votes probably don’t amount to much.
The issue here is not intelligence. It's sanity. Once Lord James started on about the EU taking over MI6 and GCHQ on November 1st, that's when Lord Blunkett asked him to stop, as "it is not in either his interests or the interests of the Committee for him to continue". That's Lords-speak for call the men in white coats.

Soooooo

Where have been with any of the100s of posts that we should have seen from you on this thread pulling up NK for his extreme insults

Don’t worry I know the answer - double-standards and hypocrisy

NK and other Remainers can make as many direct and extreme insults or snide comments as they like bur should a Leave poster be moved to reply in kind they are to be criticised - you are in company as this a standard tactic of the Remainers

Here is a test to see if you have any integrity or whether it is just more 'faux outrage'

Check out NK's last 15 posts to me and let's see you come back and call him out for the insults

If not - don't expect me not to consider you to be proven an hypocrite
Anyone starting a sentence with, 'So' gets instantly ignored in my house.

Our long term rejection along with the others is because the EU is a capitalist club and it's not in the economic or political interests of the rich states outside the eurozone to join it and thereby impoverish themselves supporting the feckless poor ones.

Why are the English establishment so against a Scottish referendum then?

We hold a veto ....... FFS and if they want an Eu army then we have to hold a referendum ...........
Vetoes and opt-outs have a very limited shelf-life should we Remain - but that does not seem to be well understood and people prefer to bury their heads.

Re: "...….then we have to hold a referendum...." In the world of the EU these seem to only lead to the decision being implemented when the 'right' answer was returned.....

OK - soooo

Forgive me if you running for cover - just another poster doing exactly the same when faced with 'manning up' - leads me to assume that my final point was correct:

"If not - don't expect me not to consider you to be proven an hypocrite"

You can of course correct that by pulling up NK or other Remain posters when they post gratuitous insults - I will keep an eye out and duly commend your demonstration of balance when I see these comments

Surprised you ask that question.

The Scottish populace returned a party that supported a referendum being held and they duly campaigned for that and their wish was granted - for what was branded by the SNP as a 'once in a lifetime generation' vote. The independence proposition was rejected.

Strangely, immediately at the point that the vote was lost, the SNP started preparing for the next - including appointing a person to be based in Brussels to develop the process for Scotland's accession to the EU should a future vote be held.

Therefore, those posts on here that claim that the push by the SNP/Scotland for independence was put to bed in 2014 and only rekindled due to the 2016 vote are either demonstrating a lack of knowledge or being disingenuous.

Strangely, if there was another vote - say in 2024 (10 year gap seems appropriate - following what was supposed to be a generational matter) and the UK have genuinely left the EU - it will be again the Scots voting to stay in the UK - whilst the English electorate might have a very different attitude if they were consulted.

But we would be voting on an issue... not an individuals perception of an issue. And we would all then understand why we are coming out of the Eu. In addition it would also be up to the other member states to allow us to exit on the most favourable terms as they would be the ones forcing us away.At the moment it is The undefined being negotiated by the unprepared in order to get the unspecified for the uninformed.
