Fuckwits the lot if them. I'd honestly guess they would have added ban all cars, if they thought it wouldn't be so ludicrously unpopular and make them a laughing stock. They failed.

Equally the planet will do what it has also done for billions of years without us and that is move land mass, alter sea levels, change weather patterns and go through extreme changes in temperatures.

Imagine the scenes if this lot had lived during the last ice age and who they would have blamed for it?
 
Good luck to them , unless anybody can come up with another way of highlighting the monumental fuck up mankind is making of the planet then this movement will continue to grow .

It has taken us 15-20 years to get from 1% renewable energy to 40-50% renewable energy and power generation is just 25% of all UK carbon emissions!

The UK is responsible for 1% of total emissions globally so even if we shot the entire population and went completely carbon free it would make no difference whatsoever.

The achievements we have made so far have been incredible really for a nation that was previously burning coal for fun. We are doing extremely well and the population is growing so fast that it is extremely difficult.

Of course though, I know congratulating this Tory government or the previous Blair government isn't exactly a fashionable argument for the 'types' in ER....

The great irony is this is largely a social media movement and social media in itself is a massive contributor to emissions.

If you mean plastics in the sea, ok I can agree with that. But the world being 2 degrees warmer and oceans 2 feet higher in the next 80 years, doesn't exactly strike the fear of God into me.

And nor should it in you. Get some perspective, for goodness sake.

2 feet sea level rise - if indeed it even happens - is not something to be throwing yourself off beachy head over.

People need to get a grip. The planet is getting a bit warmer - before it gets colder again.
