Ah the multi £Million digital social media campaign Labour is using to target people their algorithms have picked out.

Pretty sure it's been done before and can remember the outrage it caused.

Who was it again?

The difference is ..... the twitter post I put up didn't tell lies .... about Turkey , about unlimited immigration , about an Eu Army, about being forced to join the Eurozone, about being forced to bail out other countries, about new Eu members, about sunny uplands, about unelected Eurocrats

See the difference now?

That is very clear. When you say you would leave without a deal is it because you think the damage to the U.K. economy of doing it will be far less than expected, or do you expect it to be bad and would still leave? Not being smart and not a trick question.

I think the damage to our society and democracy from remaining despite the ref result will be far greater than any brexit.

No.

I see lots of hypocrisy though.

I voted to leave the EU.
Briefly, just explain why you voted to remain in the EU.
Tell us why you agree with supporting your own parliament, and 2 others in Europe. Briefly, why you support the juristiction of the ECJ, your reasons for supporting federalism, your
support for a convicted negligent as EU President, and the manner of her election.
After an in depth response has been received, and given my approval, I'll put some more questions up.

Do you see what you, and all the others who refuse to accept a democratic vote have been, and still are, doing here?

Because I didn’t relish the sight of the U.K. getting it’s arse handed to it in negotiations to extract itself and its economy from the European economic zone over the next decade or so.

I also believe in removing barriers to trade and to the free movement of people and the creation of an economic zone encompassing 30 countries that facilitates that is worth supporting. I’m not an isolationist nor a nationalist.

I don’t think removing peoples rights is acceptable. The decision taken in 2016 was wrong and the last three years have proven that to be the case given the vision that was sold as Brexit is no where near the reality. No deal was never mentioned, indeed we were told we would not change anything until the future relationship was sorted.

I didn’t believe the Brexit lies in 2016 and I don’t believe the Brexit lies now. I’m not arsed if we move to a Norway style Brexit but given everyone moved the goalposts after the referendum that is not possible so the only reasonable course of action left is to kill Brexit and oppose, rather than work with, those who support it. So far I have been pleasantly surprised by our success in stopping Brexit. I thought we would be out by now under May’s deal. Couldn’t believe the luck when Brexiteer MPs scuppered it.

Think that covers the basics.

I can see that arguement. I really can.

I disagree though. our democracy will be fine. as will society after some honest objective hindsight. on both sides!

Our economy however would not, our health and peace in ireland might not.

it is not undemocratic to recognize that something isnt working as promised/expected, and defer it till a breaktgrough can be made, or put it back to the people or abandon altogether (re no-deal pursuit).

And surely we can trust our society not to see it in such absolutes.

Varadkar is key, always has been.

No deal kills Ireland, a hard border enforced by the EU the end of his political career.

A deal will be agreed.

I think something will be agreed whether it’s a full blown deal or just a statement of intent/ heads of terms.

I still think there is too much petty politics in parliament and people will still try and block it though. We have managed to agree something before with the eu and it was parliament which was the problem

Fingers crossed , let’s hope it we can get something through.

Petty doesn't do it justice.

Some remain MP's are fully on the EU side here now and others see an opportunity to power grab so will go along with any tactic that stops the government and brexit.

For those that are interested in the current shambolic and intellectually deranged strategy from our PM. This is a reasonable article:

It's as biased as it can be and why not, it's the Irish Times with a narrative of how the Irsh hold the upper hand over the British.

I personally think they couldn't be more wrong and we will all soon find out.

Ok mate. Thanks. I can understand that. The country is so completely riven that stay or leave there is going to be a great deal of damage. It just depends which way any individual thinks will deliver most badness.

What are you guys babbling about now? Merkel isn’t the key to this, Varadkar is the key.
Please pay attention.
lol - Covenay just on Sky telling us that a no deal would be a failure of statesmanship (heard that somewhere before) and it all needs to be settled in the "proper place - here in Brussells" - not quite Berlin but closer than Dublin. The BBC's EU conduit now giving us the "BoJo Isn't Serious" line.
