That's not going to work though. ROI only benefits from companies locating their headquarters in Dublin because one of the four freedoms of the EU is the freedom of movement of capital. To take advantage of that you have to be in the EU.

So all those UK based companies that use the ROI as a tax haven wouldn't more back to the UK with a bit of carrot and stick ? I think so my friend.

When has an Irish official engaged in any of the above towards us?

I called him smart and you have flown off the deep end?

He is a politician ffs and I will wager has a thick skin and knows full well the game at play and the stakes attached.

Its bluemoon and I doubt my post will create a diplomatic crises.

Well we can't all be good at everything Gordon. You have seemed to have found your niche at moaning and pessimism tho!
Pessimist? Me! I’m about as positive a person as you’ll ever meet, mate. It’s one of the main reasons why I’m held in such affection by those I come into contact with :-)

Johnson needs to let Varadka know whats at stake tomorrow. Ie a no deal means no settlement. No money and UK corporation tax reduced to less than the ROI. Take the deal offered or risk a crippled economy Leo.

This is what we’ve come to now. A good old bit of English bulldog aggression to sort the problem.

Ireland didn’t vote to leave the Eu
Ireland didn’t trigger article 50 without a plan
Ireland didn’t draw a load of daft red lines
Ireland didn’t agree a deal then vote it down
Ireland didn’t prorogue Parliament illegally
Ireland didn’t start making a load of crass and meaningless sound bites in leau of a plan
Ireland didn’t start throwing blame around like confetti, whilst taking none

They’ve done nothing apart from having their entire economy threatened by English idiots like you. Their PM is behaving with a dignity that ours will never, ever possess.

I’m nor referring to you calling Veradka smart, and thought I had made myself clear on that, so not sure why you keep focusing on that.

Are you struggling to follow what I’m posting? :-)

Calling Varadkar smart is disrespectful?

He is PM of a country that relies on the UK for the bulk of its trade and the UK for transport to and from the EU.

No deal kills them.

Like it or not the reality needed to be hit home by a PM and government worth its salt and basically doing its job which is to protect our best interests.

Politics that is all.
......and shitting on your own doorstep

Is that to the tune of “we didn’t start the fire “

Fucking A, DD. Fucking shameful episode in our nation’s history, mate. What we are seeking now is simply the consequenceS of our own action for which we should take responsibility as a nation, rather than giving it the Billy Big Bollocks. Fucking embarrassing.

To you as well then.

English idiots?

What do you mean, mate?

Dave's post you gave a fucking A to claimed English idiots had threatened the Irish economy.

Now I take it he meant leave voters but I'm not so sure only English people voted to leave and that plenty of Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish did as well.

Shocking language and dick waving at the English imo and I've not been as shocked since the other week when someone said humbug.

indeed we did , nobody wants to fuck over Ireland or the Irish but we are at the vinegar strokes now and we need to get this thing done now with a deal even if that’s mays deal with a tickle

May’s deal with a tickle and maybe even a choccie on top is fine with the EU and Dublin.

It’s not fine with ERG Tories, DUP, LibDems, Labour, Brexit Party, Daily Telegraph, Mail...
