Between remainers I've no doubt as what you just described is not leaving, its remaining.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Nail. Hit. Head.

I thought you just wanted out, no matter what/how? for the sake of democracy or what else was it?

That is the (one of many many) fundamental problems with brexit. Everybody wants to choose what they want. Some want customs union, some want free trade, some don't care as long as some foreigners are made to get tae F.

Is it a surprise then parliament can't agree on it?

You don't see remainers argiung about the right or wrong way to remain!

I see remainers in parliament unable to agree on anything other than being against no deal.

What leavers will agree on is we must leave.

So - you are saying that you can accept that there will be a lot of strife but so long as you get your way on the Brexit outcome you will go with that.

In what way are you different from a Leaver?
Tired sigh. Where exactly did I say that?
Your ability to misinterpret, twist words and argue where no argument is needed is unbounded.

I was simply agreeing with @blueinsa that wether we leave or wether we stay there will be significant damage to the UK.
I believe there will be more damage if we leave. He believes there will be more damage if we stay.
I think we both respect each others position? (@blueinsa ). Now what the fuck is your beef? Or am I confused again? Like yesterday?

A year is a long time in politics. What Blair is proposing now, given what has happened since 2016, is pure desperation. He seems out of touch with the current grim political realities.

He wasn’t proposing anything, that’s my point though. He was only saying his own opinion of what he would do but acknowledged it couldn’t happen, that’s why he kept on trying to change the topic as it just went round in circles.

Many leave voters are against no deal too. Wasn’t it the most unpopular out of all the indicative votes?

If you’re saying that CU and SM membership isn’t leaving and that the government said we’d leave both if leave won, which they did say, then you have to take into consideration no deal has only been a recent thing and wasn’t suggested by a single soul in the build up to the referendum.

I agree we need to resolve the NI issue and leave with a deal, being outside of the SM and Customs Union eventually but I won’t stand for a damaging no deal scenario, as it will ruin lives and wasn’t put forward until AFTER the referendum.

I know you don’t think it will happen and neither do I but until we have a deal we have to oppose it.

No deal is off the table but only because we went back with the very real threat of it.

Very promising news coming from todays meeting which will be of huge relief to Varadkar, Johnson and every single one of us.

I hope you’re right.

At this stage I just want a reasonable outcome and for the country to be able to heal socially, without democracy being ruined.

If Johnson goes ahead and gets a deal that works, I’ll be the first to celebrate.

"Alternative Ulster" with Canada deal for rest of UK.
I'll take the first bit, second bit shite.
PS and by the way this deal was always on offer from the EU, before no deal was on the table.

This is true.

Barnier showed May a list of every agreement the EU have, with every country, starting with our current full membership and said “which one do you want?”

She didn’t want any, she wanted to compromise the Single Market with her red lines, expecting the whole cake and eat it, without a though for NI and she fucked it, along with her Brexit Secs.

A friend of mine has lived in uk for 15 years and has English wife. 3 months ago he was given an appointment to go to Bury and register for summat or other. When he got there it took 20mins for the door to be answered. He then walked upto top floor of an empty building and was met with a .'why are you here, we're not ready yet'. That was 2 weeks ago.
French friend with English wife here currently working on a contract in Holland and not absolutely sure he'd be allowed back in!
