Not as a Party, obviously. But there must be a fair few pro-leave Labour MPs? Add to that the entire Conservative Party and that would be enough, wouldn’t it?

I don’t know it just wouldn’t surprise me if Johnson fucked the DUP off if he could guarantee the numbers from elsewhere

Boris will sell leavers down the river but his spin tactics by pinning things on the EU will ensure that leavers think it is the best thing since sliced bread.

I fully expect him to come out soon and say a deal is sorted with the EU and then he will use all weapons available to get it through. After that everything else like general elections and referendums are irrelevant.

At the moment his only goal is to keep public scrutiny away from the deal because that is what destroyed May. If he can get in a position where basically Parliament is given no choice but any deal on the table or no deal then he will get it through.

He can also threaten the Tories with removing the whip etc like he has done before to make sure they fall into line. Even if they lose the vote then the fault will then lie entirely with the remain bits in Parliament who won't allow us to leave with a deal OR no deal.

Oh - I am totally with you on this assessment - as a leaver - I do not trust BoJo at all

When I say:

"The best outcome from a Leaver perspective, IMO, is that there is not a deal presented to parliament - I would hold out for something that the EU will not give if I was BoJo……."

I really am talking about what I would do - not what I think that he will do

It’s all a charade mate. Johnson doesn’t want a deal. He wants No Deal.

That’s what some on here were telling us.

I just hope it’s a decent deal and it gets through tbh

This is where it is difficult for the opposition. The if we accept that this deal may be ‘decent’ but isn’t as good as remaining is it not there professional duty to vote it down?

It is not typically Opposition behaviour to vote through Government legislation which they don’t like

That’s not been the debate , the benn act or Gina gee. It’s been all about an absolute objection to no deal.

If we get another deal and they vote it down a lot of the public will not be happy when the election comes

Remaining v leaving has not been the basis of the debate in the last 6 months it’s been preventing leaving with no deal but I just know if and when the deal is presented to the house the narrative will again shift to actually we want to remain. That’s my fear.
