Then it doesn't satisfy what one of the core elements of independence then does it!

It's just remaining in, so no wonder you support that outcome. Some compromise.
Please explain to me how leaving the EU is the same as remaining in the EU? I don't get what i want (I want us to remain) as we will have left the EU. There is no such thing as a fully independent completely self sufficient country in the 21st century, the world does not work like that anymore. The best thing for brexiters to do would be to build a time machine and fuck off back to the 1850s as that is the only version of Britain that is going to make them happy. I'm sure with all the scientific and intellectual experience in the pro-brexit community that shouldn't be too hard. Send Mark Francois back first, he can be the monkey.

And we can organise trade deals independently from the EU in that scenario?

I think independent trade deals have become a fetish for some people. It’s unhealthy. I swear you guys would happily live in a shoe box if it meant the U.K. doing a trade with Uzbekistan or wherever. You’re still putting up trade barriers with the European Market on our border. We’re even thinking of putting up trade barriers within our own Union but no got to tie down that crucial Uzbekistan market :)

*you're

Never said I was 'right', I stated my opinion on how your 2nd ref claim doesn't satisfy leave voters and wouldn't be beneficial to anyone except remainers, and why should leavers accept a 2nd referendum when we have nothing to gain from it?

Only if the deal itself on offer doesn't satisfy you. Otherwise, it should.

It doesn't satisfy remainers either, surely just remaining/revoking would be preferred.

Nope. It's a shit outcome but it will end this bullshit. There is no version of brexit where we can organise trade deals independently of the EU though. It might seem like it on paper, but any deal that a country puts in place with the UK will always be subject to the EU kicking off if they feel it causes them any problems, and as the significantly bigger trading partner, they will get their own way. Some countries have even stated they won't put a deal in place with the UK until our relationship with the EU is secured.

So we should be in the EU because if we arent then the EU will economically bully us and ensure that we become financially unstable.

How enlightened. Sure sounds like a great organisation to me.

Hot take from the MoS...

‘People keep saying "Boris's deadline has focussed minds". Correct. It focussed Varadkar, Barnier and Merkel's minds on the fact Boris would have to make major concessions to meet his own self-imposed 31 October withdrawal date.’

Wait, is that a time travel joke?

You’re being bloody minded

What would be wrong with offering people the opportunity to vote remain based on the deal on offer not being what they envisioned?
Because that's not what we're determining.

We voted to leave the EU and are now (after years of remoaner bleating) determining "what sort of leave" the people voted for. Leaving with a deal, ore leaving without a deal.

If you can engineer it so that we "leave by remaining" i'm all ears.

I don't consider the EU to be enlightened, I consider it to be the world's biggest trade block, of which we're currently a senior member, that looks after itself. We used to act like cunts when we were the world's biggest trading block (see 'empire') so I don't understand why anyone would expect the EU to act differently.

Barnier is confident on a deal. No. 10 has the DUP in for coffee and is wafting cash under their noses to buy this lovely pig with brand new lippy.

Problem for the DUP isn’t just cash. They are the ultimate defenders of the Union. How’s it going to look to their hard core voters if they are open to the charge they sold out the Union for cash? Tricky one.

What about those remainers who accept we must leave the EU?

Or are they often forgotten and just lumped in with all FBPE remainer types?

Ahh a message from a member of Bluemoon MENSA!

What no snidey remark? I'm disappointed.

Interesting seeing a Remain voter saying the EU act like cunts!

Well again the money doesn’t go to the dup does it, that’s illegal. Dup secures more funding for Ireland in order to gain its support.

Maybe some of these labour MPs in leave areas could think of their constituents for once and go an see Boris ( is that an acceptable name) listen to the deal on offer and may be say yeah we will vote for it on condition.

You commit to prioritising and funding a East to west high speed rail line, more funding for schools and hospitals in the region?

That’s politics I am afraid . Will they do it will they fuck.

A senior member?

What happened to the "all members of the EU are equal" narrative remainers like to push?

I can't speak for other remainers, I just know that narrative is a load of shit. The bailout of Greece had nothing to do with saving the Greek economy, it was only ever about saving the German and British economies as our banks had been recklessly lending to Greece.
