It’s never going to end it seems.

We have a parliament that won’t vote for any deal as they don’t want us to leave.

I’d just vote through the new deal and compromise on Northern Ireland. Otherwise it’s going to go on forever

Thanks for the thread back and a nice early negative breakfast story for your like minded remainers to feast on ;-)

Shall I respond or will it be seen as argumentative and the post deleted?

Genuine question because i saw no arguments last night just debate but as usual, its seemingly not allowed the second remain views are challenged Ric?
Give it a rest mate. It was nothing to do with “remain views being challenged”. It was to do with some fairly inflammatory stuff about Ireland and the GFA (as well as a couple of the personal arguments that we keep requesting people stop) and the subsequent fall-out from that. It was getting out of hand, hence why the thread was pulled and tidied up. By all means feel free to PM me if you have any further concerns about moderation, otherwise let’s keep the thread on topic.

Feel free to counter when things look more positve around mid afternoon, then we'll come back when its all going worng sagain this evening, then you can come back when there is movement late on tonight towards a deal, then we'll... etc etc

Me too. It would get straight through with a confirmatory referendum attached.

Only if you see the world in such polar terms as leavers and remainers.

For the record, i don't see you as a 'leaver', whose every point needs countered.

I don't think the problem was remain views being challenged, surely you don't too. The overall tone did take a turn, across the board.

Disagree with posts being removed all you like but drop the 'remainer unity overlords' rhetoric, it is very SNP of you!

Grieve bemoaning rushed business going through the house and you need time to discuss and debate......

Oh the irony of a remain MP coming out with that when they manage to not discuss and rush through bills in hours when it suits.

Just say it man, you dont want a deal, you want to revoke, remain and will never vote for any deal that means we leave the EU.

I am intrigued, who is Stevie K?

Can anyone else hear the Magic Roundabout theme or is it just me? ;)

Analogy time.

I killed a rabbit. It was on the road near the kerb. Instead of heading for the kerb it went for the other side. Dead rabbit.

I feel a bit like that personally. Helpless in the face of danger like a rabbit in headlights.

But it's Britain. Make a dash for the far side where the grass is greener (sunlit even) or back into safety.

I think the DUP overestimate their importance. 10 votes is of course still 10 votes, but as the Tories are so divided and many leaving/ losing the whip has slashed their slender DUP reliant majority in parliament. It's probably more critical now that any deal finds favour with a decent chunk of Labour MP's than the DUP in order to get it through.
