As a remainer its probably best you dont concern yourself with what we want.

Deal vs no deal is fine though and I'm happy for that to go back to the people so that we can establish how we want to leave and we do want to leave, that has already been established.
Maybe Remainers just shouldn’t be allowed to vote in a second ref then it wouldn’t matter what we want? After all, you won and we lost. We know our place.

As I said a few posts up, the DUP are not the holders of a casting vote as they were earlier in Mays Parliament. It's probably more important for BJ to come back with something that most of his party plus a decent chunk of Labour MP's will vote for.

They are not, i agree. But symbolicly, they represent a side of N.I and without their blessing, nobody can really call the deal truly legitimate. Not Westminster, not the EU.

Would you have that with any caveat, say a certain %?

I just wonder if such a proposal would then be met with a boycott, so the country's destiny could ultimately be decided by a much smaller proportion of the public. It's not 'wrong' , granted, but it's perhaps not a platform on which to rebuild consensus.

Right on cue.

Happy to see that you have finally found the fun in gifs and memes though and hopefully it doesnt get deleted.

Usually though they get called childish and reported so dont hold your breath.

I'm just struggling to find anything original to say any more. Brexit is like a hamster on a wheel - leavers building up momentum and starting to think they will get to the top. And then boom - reality hits - any deal, once revealed in all its ugly form, is a shit deal. I just hope this time the penny starts to drop and the debate can move on towards how we abandon this disastrous and frankly embarrassing political endevour. I have no time left for brexit BS. We have honored the result in trying to deliver it via successive leaver governments and It has been a total and complete failure. 2nd Ref - remain wins and we move on.

So Johnson's deal is going to be more or less May's deal which he at first signed off on,then resigned over, then voted against.

The only difference is he's more media friendly and doesn't keep repeating himself. In fact he changes what he says and thinks on a daily basis.

He talks to the DUP and ERG daily but seems oblivious to the fact that he needs others on board to.

So one of the stumbling blocks is France are not happy with us leaving without restrictions upon us because they are worried we will became an attractive economic powerhouse on its doorstop and it does not want that!!!

What the fuck , I thought we were going to be fucked economically if we left, but actually the French are worried we will be too powerful economically ?
I explained the other day that this was a key purpose of the unfettered backstop - with the border issue an associated factor. Ireland are also very concerned about ensuring that the EU can restrict/control the UK.

Of course the Remainers had no argument - because they have their fingers in their ears when it comes to the reality of what the EU do

As predicted, he’s fucking useless. He just has the knack of appealing to thickos who are taken in by the contradictory bullshit he regularly spouts, without recognising he said the opposite last week. He knows his base.

No that’s not what they are saying it’s about controlling our corporation tax rate and economic policy.

You don’t need a level playing field if you leave the eu you can decide yourself what you want to do. That’s what leaving means and France is shitting it now .
I suspect that you will find inconvenient truths unwelcome

;)
I need to get with this repository of gifs to post

This explains the Remainer reaction to having the real reasons explained to them of why the unfettered backstop and other controls the EU want to place on the UK is so important to them far better than words

You keep saying we are scrapping regulations where does it say that in this agreement we have not seen.

In any event there will be a general election and the govt of the day can include what it is going to do in its manifesto and enact as appropriate . If it’s labour you have no worries.
Good challenge

The answer is that it is simply lazy invention - with the purpose being to cover for the lack of any facts/truth

Happy to have a confirmatory ref to decide how we leave so deal v no deal.

We have already established that we want to leave.
Cling on to that mate. 3 years to sort out this clusterfuck and its still a clusterfuck. Plenty chance for Mays deal to be accepted by the HoC but it was voted against by Brexiteers. Now those Brexiteers are in charge and it looks very unlikely they will get a better deal than the one they voted against. How many years do you want to try and make this work?
Put the best deal you can manage vs Remain and winner takes all. The reason you don't want that is you know what the outcome will be.

Would you have that with any caveat, say a certain %?

The exact same rule as i had in the first ref and that is one single vote wins it.

Had remain wont the first by one vote that's he end of the matter as far as I am concerned and we remain.

By all means change the rules for future questions that might be asked of the electorate and make a super majority the rules for change but to impose that halfway through this process isn't really fair imo and smacks of remain yet again wanting to weigh the vote in their favour.

Parliament needs to do its job.

Shit or get off the pot, leave or remain and lets move onto a GE and we can decide if they deserve another chance or we can change the make up of Parliament.

Im all for the gifs and memes mate. harmless fun and humour and sometimes as you say you have nothing left to say to a poster or an opinion so why not inject some fun?

Its a fucker though to watch as anyone photo sensitive will be in a spin watching that lol.

The rest of your post i simply dont agree with.

We have a remain parliament and the decision to leave has not been honoured, its been effectively stopped.

There is an assumption that the Tories will immediately repeal all workers rights and regulations because its is presumed they only exist in the first place because of the EU.

What they forget is the Tories will get a rude awakening in the polling booths if they tried to do so.

The EU question aside, not everyone on the centre/centre-right is in favour of 60 hour weeks and putting kids back down the pits...
Well said

There is just sooo much nonsense spouted about all these rights that are going to be repealed - as if they were facts

Just stories to scare the kids
