‘EU official on Juncker’s no extension remark: “Bullshit.”’
He didn't say no extension though, he said there's no need for one if the WA passed, which there isn't, we could move straight into what's left of the transition period.

But if it's phrased as a choice between making life difficult for France or making life difficult for Ireland? The aforementioned will stick with us along with Norway and Denmark, God knows where the rest go. The decision will be unanimous either way.
We shall see mate, difficult to be certain either way.

Remain turning on Juncker now..."its not up to him for an extension".

Farage moaning about how the Benn act is being undermined.

Brexit is a funny old business.

I take that as Farage being somewhat at a loss given the speed of developments. Farage doesn’t want Brexit. He wants a career and money out of campaigning for Brexit.

Self preservation has kicked in for him.

Us out of the EU sees him out of work.

How is the Commons going to scrutinise and ratify this draft deal and then debate and pass the European Withdrawal Act through the two chambers to give the WA legal force on the back of a minority Govt that has lost its confidence and supply partner by 31st Oct?

Yep. But he also has between 12% to 15% support. How does that play out in a GE?

He has that support based on what he would have done during the Brexit negotiations had a GE happened before they completed. If they finish and a deal is agreed and implemented, then there’s very few people that would still vote in a GE for a single issue party like them

How quickly allegiances can change Bob ;-)

I’m just the messenger mate.

I gave my opinion earlier on what Juncker said namely that it was just rough politics. EU wants this deal. If he can scare a few MPs into backing it then job done. Not an issue in my book. It’s a harsh world and all that.

He loses that support mate if we leave the EU.

Dont leave and all bets are off of course and i can see a huge backlash against parliament, the old people vs things rears its head, and he will ride a huge wave in support i think.

We should all hope it doesnt come to that.

Again, get it done, lets leave and there is nothing to stop us rejoining in the future if that is what is wanted by a majority but we have to leave.

I wont ever change my mind on that.

Leaves and Boris ace up the sleeve is the sheer unpopularity of Corbyn to many in his back benches and the fact many represent very strong leave areas.

I still think the DUP will come on board and are hanging out for their usual bribe.

We will all soon find out.

I've just seen the footage of Johnson and Macron shaking hands. Both are coupling so tightly they are one fireplace from reenacting the famous naked wrestling scene from Woman in Love.

The support is largely predicated on a clean break no deal Brexit. No surrender to the EU. No money paid and our fishing waters back etc. This deal is May’s deal with NI sacrificed on the alter of expediency.

You reckon a nuanced compromise deal has the same electoral appeal as the no surrender message to the hard core Brexit Party voters?

By moving their arses bud, they're a sovereign body, they can do whatever they want :)

The DUP ain’t coming back now. It would be a huge loss of face and a disaster for them within their own constituency. No amount of money is going to do it. The rhetoric on the Unionist side is going to get turned up to 11 over the next few days.

It wont - no self respecting MP will vote for this without seeing the text. BoJo needs circa 25ish non tory votes to get it done. He might get some but it wont pass. You would need to have faith and trust in BoJo and that is in short supply.
