So, parliament vote it down, Benn act kicks in and Boris writes his letter, the EU ask what the extension is for and BJ says it's for nothing. No GE, no second referendum, and he can't present an unchanged bill again thanks to the upholder of democracy that is John Bercow. What happens then?

We all go down to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint and wait for all this to blow over.

FIGHT!

Was she one of those behind that letter to Barnier asking him to stop Brexit?

I must add that I see Farage as being a different side of the same coin though and he can see his gravy train coming to an end too.

Edit: I see Farage has been discussed further up!

She was.

Wears a yellow t shirt a lot with stop brexit on the front and something for the post watershed on the back.

Farage is the best today coming out in defence of the Benn act pmsl.

None of them have any shame.

I wouldn't rule him out yet, One of the Political analyst on Sky said if this doesn't get through parliament and a General Election does take place with Brexit still up in the air, Farage will wage war at the ballot box on the Tories.

Ive said as much earlier mate.

Parliament says no and its up for grabs and he will have a field day and anyone thinking he wont garner huge support is kidding themselves.

This is why I've said all along how important respecting the vote and leaving was for our democracy.

Leave and he goes away. Leave and rejoin and he has no leg to stand on as we left, didn't like it and went back.

Revoke and he will make people wish they had looked at things differently.

Corbyn has had it. He's been completely boxed into a corner now the EU have said they have done a deal and they won't give an extension. A large part of the electorate wont forget that it will be seen that him and his party that rejected the deal and dragged this on adinfinitum !. Talk about putting himself first in his desparate and futile attempt to get into no10.

I will have a bit of that.

Don’t worry I bet he has a cunning plan. As baldrick himself can’t make any decisions , he will on Saturday be supporting a second referendum and it will be for the people to decide on the deal he doesn’t like himself.

Guarantee it.

SNP to suggest to the government that support for the deal would be given with a guarantee of a second indy ref next year and a win guaranteeing a similar deal to the Northern Irish?

Independence with the best of both worlds trade if they gain EU citizenship?

Can they see long term and play the political game or is it out and out anti Tory and anti Westminster regardless for them?

Because its true.

Corbyn was offered his chance of a GE and said no.

The government have played him like a cheap fiddle.

Would Johnson be prepared to risk tearing down the Union just to get this deal through?

Imagine if we have another referendum, vote leave again, and it's not enacted, again.

Since the referendum, the problem has been "The Will of the People" vs Parliament, who represent "The People". It's madness. We had a GE since the Ref.. If "The People" keep rejecting Brexit, then why are we still wanting "The Will of the People" to decide?

Parliamentary Sovereignty trumps a close result in an Advisory Referendum. Sorry!

Parliament either accepts this deal, or we revoke A50 and go to a GE, where all parties can decide what they want to do going forward, without another fucking extension deadline hanging over them/us.

If/when it's rejected by parliament, I'm really hoping that The EU reject any extension request.

Time to piss or get off the pot.

It wouldnt be 'leave' the public would be voting for. it would be 'the deal'. or the deal we currently have.

And if the deal wins, then enact it.

Otherwise, its replace a split parliament with another slightly less split parliament, and we go all over again.

PS, i fucking HATE the time to piss/shit or get off the pot line btw, take it you and blueinsa have been on the leroy thread.
That's how you end up with piss/shit all over the carpet.

Bollox.

Nobody in the public wants another referendum, it’s a complete cop out by MPs.

Why on earth would anyone trust another referendum, so what you are saying is a deal which parliament rejects gets put to the people in a vote and if that deal gets public support and wins you expect this parliament , Gina gee, lady hale and others to implement the deal they have all said is shit. It would be an utter disaster and they would block, block block again.

Atm it looks like Corbyn has been outmanoeuvred and so Boris might be the hero come Saturday night.

However I have long felt that in the GE people will say, as they did with Churchill,' thanks for everything you've done ' but now it's time for a change.
