Atm it looks like Corbyn has been outmanoeuvred and so Boris might be the hero come Saturday night.

However I have long felt that in the GE people will say, as they did with Churchill,' thanks for everything you've done ' but now it's time for a change.

Corbyn is no Attlee.

I am disappointed to have even put them in the same sentence.

It would the smart politic because post brexit, they are finished imo.

Last chance saloon to get a deal that is as good as it could ever get for them in terms of ref, possible independence and trade deal afterwards and it would suit Johnson to have those votes.

It wont happen because they are anti everything.

If only Labour had removed the New Venezuelans from the front bench and backed a deal. They'd have probably pissed the next election and the one after. Looking like that boat's well and truly left the harbour, now.

It wouldnt be 'leave' the public would be voting for. it would be 'the deal'. or the deal we currently have.

And if the deal wins, then enact it.

Otherwise, its replace a split parliament with another slightly less split parliament, and we go all over again.

PS, i fucking HATE the time to piss/shit or get off the pot line btw, take it you and blueinsa have been on the leroy thread.
That's how you end up with piss/shit all over the carpet.
Carpet in the toilet? Potty on the carpet and not on a hard floor? Ugh!

If the deal wins in parliament, then enact it.

If it doesn't, then just bin it.

We've already had a referendum, it was close, it will be again. It divides the country in two. If it's a close Leave win again, is that a mandate for a deal that parliament has already rejected???

Make a decision, one way or another, and let the cards fall where they may in a General Election.

I don't fear Farage et al. Few people will be voting to start all over again. If they do, fine. That's democracy!

Can Sturgeon and co see the long game and think smart on this?
Cant call that. In the past they have been pretty focused on anything that will get them a step closer. However Scotland is very Remain (probably more so than at the ref) so it would set them back with remain unionists and waverers. It would be a difficult call and would depend wether she thinks Brexit is ultimately inevitable.

SNP have said no
DUP have said no
Labour have said no
LibDems have said no

Where are the votes coming from?

Can Sturgeon and co see the long game and think smart on this?

Can Johnson and co see that, too.

If they all put their political differences aside, they might see that there is a possible future that satisfies many of their desires; they don't have to be mutually exclusive, but too much focus is alas on today and not tomorrow.
