Blackford is on a loop I'm convinced.

Keep coming back every 5 mins and you hear the exact same thing.

The country isn't crippled ffs.

Parliament is no doubt but not the country.

despite the rhetoric and cliff edges and financial Armageddon etc etc we get on with our lives.

Again, Corbyn and co voted for the ref, for the question and made it a manifesto promise to carry the result out.

You miss my point but then you are extremely partisan on this and tend to take any comment as anti brexit.

I am not criticical of leaving but it is true that until we do parliament and so the countrys governance by default is not working properly.

I don't blame anyside completely but I don't blame MPs for doing their job either and if they think a deal is crap I expect thrm to vote it down.

On most political issues parliamentr uns as it should on brexit it is fucked.

Hence brexit is what has broken the system not parliament.

Once it's over all will go back to normal hopefully

Do politicians actually represent us?

They carry our conscience. That frees them to act with their conscience.

It is impossible for an MP to represent everyone who voted for them, because we all vote for differing reasons, therefore an MP is able to use the "will" of there particular constituency to represent that particular constituency as they see fit according to their conscience.

If they enact that conscience poorly having being granted the "will" then they can replaced at a General Election by somebody whose conscience is more representative of the "will" of the majority.

People get confused and expect MPs to be delegates, which they are not because we have a representative democracy and delegates would be the result of direct democracy. That is why the referendum caused so much contradiction as it attempted to turn representatives who can exercise their conscience into delegates who can not exercise their conscience.

Increasingly I'm failing to see any point you make unfortunately?

I edited that post, deleted that part.
started writing, realised we were going round in circles, abandoned it. But it got saved as a draft and included in the next response. This has all been covered, neither is going to change our mind i wouldnt think

The country is Totally crippled. You might be fortunate not to be affected. plenty are.

Especially when fiddling their expenses.

If I could be bothered I would post a long rebuttal of this point, but as it stands the mud has stuck and that mud is a danger to the democratic principles we abide by.

One of my favourite lapeel pins that I sadly lost and now have replaced.

Fair play to May, she should have spoke with that passion when she was PM.

It appears the burdens of high office overwhelmed her

When challenged on holiday pay of which the EU protects 4 weeks and we more he was flummoxed but it sums up the argument he is trying to make.

Parliament gave us more protection as workers and will continue to do so because in Starmers own words, they wont countenance anything else.
Except once again brexits fudge . The 28 days we are entitled to INCLUDES bank holidays, but anyway, so many jobs are "self-employment" or ZHC, or "off-the-books" it is irrelevant, they dont get any fuckin' holidays thanks to the tories. a transparent attempt to paint the UK as worker-friendly compared to the EU which is possibly the biggest LIE in a universe of brexit lies.

Horse shit and respectfully I'm going to tell you that no matter how many times you quote me and it's a lot if not every post i make I'm no longer going to reply because you are becoming irritating to be honest.
