Absolutely disgraceful and disgusting treatment of Rees mog and his son today.
Got to say also to that the behaviour of some mps of labour -some representative of high leave constituencies has been appalling.
Dancing and joining in with remain activists today. Some earning nearly 80k a year and not implementing the decision of their constiutents. Its unbelievable it really is.
I thought we lived in a democracy?

Very disappointed in the tone also of some and language of the posters on this thread. I thought the Bluemoon Forum who be a lot better than this.
It was all his fault, apparently.

No blame to be had by the abusers, no no.

My takeaway from today’s debate was that the Leave supporting MPs in general just talked about democracy rather than the merits of the deal whilst the Remain supporters provided multiple reasons why the deal is shit, none of which were countered by anything other than “it’s democracy”. Real democracy would be to put the best deal possible back to the people rather than assume that’s what 52% of the population want, when we know for a fact that the 52% voted for multiple outcomes.

My takeaway was a keema mutton

Ie I voted remain and the only chance we have of staying in the eu is to force people to have another referendum....... after a forced second vote I think there should be a third vote because lots of people vote for different reasons

If this wasn’t such an emotive subject and it wasn’t such crazy times, the idea that a deal only agreed a few days ago that’s one of the most important in our recent history, could be debated and voted on in a five hour session (despite any legal or impact analysis of what that deal fully means) is absolute madness and shows how incredibly stupid we’ve all become.

I do agree with the notion that only a few MPs will have voted for the Letwin amendment because of those reasons though. The problem is few will commend people that did that as people have become too entrenched in either wanting a deal regardless or wanting to revoke. I have little sympathy for anyone on any side of the debate, we’re all idiots.

The abuse was wrong but would you take your kid for a walk outside the Kop or the Stretford End on matchday in a City kit?
He put his child in a situation where it was always possible that there would be a reaction to Mogg being there. Parents shouldn’t do that to make political points.

Because you elect a representative not a delegate. And they have a posttbag full of letters from leavers who want different sorts of leave.

And when they voted for the referendum they delegated responsibility to the people. Yet they won’t accept it. Some of these labour mps aren’t representing their areas at all.

Didn’t realise you voted Remain. You’ve hidden it well.

I found the not very large protests in London laughable. Thousands of middle class toffs who think they know better then everyone and basically just want to stop brexit.

How do they think the rest of the country views them. The sight of bob geldof and a bunch of celebrities really hammered home how out of touch they are with millions of people across the country

In a civilised society, no-one should feel there is any area which they feel they are prohibited from making their presence.

Once again the footbalisation of politics raises it's ugly head and shames us all.
