Now, or imagining Labour in power?
Because, as a Tory MP once famously said about May’s proposal, it’s a “turd of a deal”.Why did the Government not want the deal scrutinized??
I actually voted Lib Dem in the most recent Euro elections, so I’m not sure I can be classed as a “Labour man” at the moment.
I’m not a great fan of Corbyn, and have found his dithering stance on Brexit to be infuriating. He’s between a rock and a hard place, but given the Tories have positioned themselves as the Leave party then I think it’d be political suicide for Labour not to be pro-Remain, given that’s what the vast majority of their membership support. People will say it’s hypocritical as he’s been generally anti-EU in the past, but then Johnson is at least equally guilty in that respect.
Another assumption seems to be that I want an immediate revocation, but again that’s not really true. I think that’d be too damaging. I’d support a confirmatory referendum on Johnson’s deal instead.
But we know this. We know you want to remain and we know a confirmatory ref is just a way to try and add validation to your ultimate goal. So because we know this the referendum doesn't produce acceptance from us.
When someone says put it back to the people we hear we may get our way. There is no way round this.
Lol, why ask what I think then? What precisely do you want me to say?!But we know this. We know you want to remain and we know a confirmatory ref is just a way to try and add validation to your ultimate goal. So because we know this the referendum doesn't produce acceptance from us.

Mr Johnson also rang European leaders, including Mr Tusk, to insist that the letter "is Parliament's letter, not my letter".Johnson not even signing the letter to Brussels seems particularly petty. I almost admire the shithousery. He’ll probably send it second class too, just to make his point.
Probably won’t put a stamp on at all in the hope the post office won’t deliver it.Johnson not even signing the letter to Brussels seems particularly petty. I almost admire the shithousery. He’ll probably send it second class too, just to make his point.
I very much hope that he texts and emails them all too, and preferably leaks them to the press, just for the avoidance of doubt. Very important that everyone understands his reticence here. Obviously this isn’t just for show though.Mr Johnson also rang European leaders, including Mr Tusk, to insist that the letter "is Parliament's letter, not my letter".

honesty is indeed the best policy mate.but then I'm a ****.
If their strike goes ahead he needn’t worry.Probably won’t put a stamp on at all in the hope the post office won’t deliver it.

It's almost like he's trying to goad parliament into voting down his deal.....I very much hope that he texts and emails them all too, and preferably leaks them to the press, just for the avoidance of doubt. Yeah but my dad's bigger than his.Mr Johnson also rang European leaders, including Mr Tusk, to insist that the letter "is Parliament's letter, not my letter".
Of course, Johnson and Cummings are master manipulators thinking a few steps ahead of us mere mortals! It’s ingenious the way they keep conspiring to lose key Parliamentary votes. It's almost like he's trying to goad parliament into voting down his deal.....

Sounds more like Billy Bunter. Johnson just told the EU the dog ate his homework. Is that a direct quote from Lord Snooty
