That's our expeditionary force.

Junior lads from Norf FC.

Wait till the main firm comes out to play if we dont leave!

When the main firm comes down, we can play count the brain cells, whilst they wave their Union flags upside down.

balanced posts mate, like.

Cheers mate.

I think a lot of people get entrenched in the social media and internet forum debates that become partisan echo chambers and believe everyone must sit in one camp or the other. There’s a lot of people that are still more in the middle and just frustrated by the sheer ineptitude of all of it and feeling like that’s just getting worse the more those camps become entrenched (and our MPs reflect it).

How do you account for the alleged hatred of the (English) working class toward the EU?

Do people wake up and say "I hate the European Union" and then give reasons? What reasons? Free health treatment abroad? I hate the EU. Free texts? I hate the EU. Strawberries in January? I hate the EU. Lithuanian nurses in hospital? I hate the EU. Don't tell me it's the bendy bananas.

(I'll not try and dissect who you mean by the working class.)

Foreigners - thats what they are conditioned to hate. The ones that come to the NHS and heal them but are "taking their jobs". The ones that come to the UK and build the new homes that are needed but in doing so take their jobs. The ones who come to the UK seasonally and ensure they can have cheap broccoli because they pick it but are taking their jobs and the foreign entrepreneurs that have come to the UK set up businesses and provided jobs but are "taking away our jobs".

Of course Leave won't accept this despite the evidence of interview after interview with Joe Public who say it - and when they are informed that we have record numbers in work and massively low unemployment? Well thats just lies, experts and Project Fear innit?

I see metal biker liked this but didn’t answer the question.

if you wanna make me out to be a liar back it up with some fucking facts.

show me pictures of remainers with effigies of people being hanged and I’ll happily change my views.

I think Johnson was hoping to get the bill rushed through without proper scrutiny, because the more people analyse it, the more they realise that it actually isn’t a very good deal at all. As mentioned before, I think common sense prevailed in Parliament today, thankfully. It’d be absolute madness to rush through a bill of this magnitude, regardless of how fed up the public are getting.

The man hailed as "a winner" fucked up again today. In my view what he should have done instead of pulling the vote on his deal and trying to blame everybody else he should have gone for it straight after the Letwin vote passed. They knew how many they needed to persuade - even Letwin stood up after and said to the house that paths now diverge and he is pro deal and not a Remainer - he should have tried to bounce a positive result but he isn't bold enough and despite his fan boys he isn't that much of a winner.

It ain’t my deal, I’m perfectly relaxed but it’s important as we are debating this that the average Joe doesn’t care about parliamentary procedure, he doesn’t care about MPs and their amendments. A second referendum or a general election will not wash in the eyes of those who voted leave. The answer is simple you either try and give them something that resembles what they thought was promised or you dick them. Now if you are going to dick them just do it. Trying to be clever about it won’t get you anywhere. They will still feel dicked.
Ironically, I don’t think many of the people who voted leave will get anything like what they thought was promised to them, and will be “dicked”, as you put it, by Johnson’s deal. When that penny drops could be when the shit really hits the fan.

How do we identify the "remainer"?

Does he wear a funny hat or a badge perhaps?

Seen at the Tory conference......

From 2017 when anti austerity and anti brexit protests met up.....

Is this guy a remainer?..

Who knows but pretty fucking unsavoury i think you will agree?

Identify remainer as in it being at a remainer rally.

I already said it has no place in it on either side. I just pointed out that the pro brexit rally’s had people dragging hung effigies which hadn’t happened at pro remain and basically got called a liar which is bullshit.

time to bail on the thread for now. Had a few beers and taking things far too personally right now.

But what if...............

"The root of social malaise is not poor housing, or youth 'alienation' or the lack of a middle class. ... Lower-class, unemployed white people lived for years in appalling slums without a breakdown of public order on anything like the present scale; in the midst of the depression, people in Brixton went out, leaving their grocery money in a bag at the front door, and expecting to see groceries there when they got back ... Riots, criminality and social disintegration are caused solely by individual characters and attitudes. So long as bad moral attitudes remain, all efforts to improve the inner cities will founder ... [Lord] Young's new entrepreneurs will set up in the disco and drug trade; Kenneth Baker's refurbished council blocks will decay through vandalism combined with neglect; and people will graduate from temporary training or employment programmes into unemployment or crime."

Johnson not even signing the letter to Brussels seems particularly petty. I almost admire the shithousery. He’ll probably send it second class too, just to make his point.

I'd send it via a pigeon with one wing but then I'm a ****.
