Seriously though, it would almost be unfair if Mbappe joined this City team. The rest of us might as well just pack up and compete for 2nd place, especially if Pep stays put for the next 5-7 years.

It adds to the achievement when it is compared to Messi and you see he did it almost year earlier. And it's a good clickbait with Messi in there.

Btw, unfortunately, we won't see him in City blue. Neither PSG would sell to us and apparently he said that he rejected City.

They need to compare everything with Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to give some relevance to the new stats they are coming with. Useless stats need useless/pointless comparisons.
 
Watched the highlights against Brugge. Such sharpness of mind and such quick feet. He's like a cross between Romario and Ronaldo; he has the clinical sharpness of the former and physical power of the latter. In truth, he's probably genuinely faster than either of those over a short distance, so it should be fascinating to see how his playing style develops as he matures.

He will move on guaranteed. Will be interesting to see how it goes down as he seems to have his head in the right place. If he is smart and lets his contract run down he can pick his next club and his salary. There is no one close to him at that age point.

If it said that, the first thing I would have done after reading it would be to try and find out how old Messi was when he did it.

He’s the greatest, the comparison is a good one.
