I’ve come to terms now that they’re a very good team and only City are capable of beating them. Losing only once in nearly 50 games is unbelievable.
Not when literally every available apparatus has been calibrated to assist you in doing it.

If we can beat them next Sunday it changes the whole title race picture. Not only is the gap back to just three points but it would crucially stop their momentum which can carry a team a long way. If that happens, they'll be reminded of what happened last season and self doubt will start to creep back in. Biggest game of the season imo.

According to understat, Liverpool are outperforming their expected points by 8.30 pts, whereas we are below our expected point by 1.80 pts. Last year, they were +13.55. Regression is coming for them eventually, and when it does it will hurt

They're a cracking team and Mane is a goal scorer. Always thought it would be Salah off to Barca, but Mane to Real seems more likely.

I think their Christmas congestion will be key and I can see us league leaders by feb.....if we can stay close.

The luck dippers had is unreal. The ball flew pass two defenders who did not seem to have any space between them for the winner. That said, they did create a lot of chances while I can’t remember a clear cut chance we created apart from the goals and the last minutes ofthe game.
25 shots for us and 26 shots for them today. But we only had 4 of target which isn't anywhere near good enough. They only had 6 to be fair.

I’ve seen nothing of their game so maybe this really was luck but think we can stop putting it down to them being lucky now with the amount of times they’ve got late late winners already. we’ve done it when we’ve needed to, Chelsea used to do it when they dominated, United and Arsenal used to do it all the time, it’s a trait of a good team and they’ve mastered it.

They’re probably getting more of them due to their basic but effective and relentless route one crossing and playing the percentages style, all they do is play for the break and when that’s not on they whip in balls all day, that’s their entire gameplan so when teams look to hold on to points late on they invite those crosses Liverpool specialise in and play into their hands so its no surprise they score so many late goals.

Not only do we need to take points next week but Pep needs to show the rest of the league how to play against them and how to see out the win against them too. if we do that and others copy Liverpool will drop plenty of points. All on Pep and the team now.

I've been watching them and thinking if they keep playing like they are it'll catch up with the eventually. But I've been thinking that for a while now and they keep getting results with what seem like fairly scrappy performances.

Also the regression thing didn't happen last season so perhaps the most sensible conclusion is to question the stats rather than expect them to get worse. Of course it's certain that they'll drop points this season and not just against us.

Have you seen our fixtures? We’ve got a terrible run of games and we’re notoriously bad in Jan and Feb. if we’re top in Feb we’ve either done something phenomenal or they’ve capitulated.

Or, as is the case with statistical financial audits, when entities consistently, significantly outperform expectations and/or market baselines, especially in systems that can be fairly easily manipulated, you have to start looking to see if there are any illegitimate forces at work.

But that won’t happen here because it is Liverpool, of course.

Again.

It’s on the night.

If we beat them next week, their last minute winner at Villa will mean nothing.

If they beat us, then they are definitely Champions elect.

Let’s wait and see.

They are winning the league this season... as much as I feel sick typing this they have an air of champions about their relentless ability to get the job done week in week out.

that C*nt Mane just sucked all the happiness out of me that Walker gave me 15 mins ago.

twats.
Want to know when they'll have an air of champions?

Once and if they have actually won the league.........

I know but when Walker scored we had earned a 3 point swing with 10 mins to go.. so to lose potentially 2-3 points in 10 mins means the win feels flat to say the least.

I get the back in our hands stuff and it’s nice but if we want to examine reality the chance of anything more than a point at Anfield is extremely unlikely, history tells you that in both our visits and their home form. I think dropped points for them today would have put a nervy complexion on their performance next week and given us a real opportunity.
The thing that your missing is that the dippers will be going into next week's game against us with a nervy complexion regardless.

Just because the broadcasting media don't highlight the luck the dippers are riding again this season and the way their games are officiated differently to ours doesn't mean Klopp does.

There is no way the dippers will get away playing against us next week the way they've been playing their last few games. We'll crucify the cult c#nts.

Klopp knows it, Pep knows it, the broadcasting media know it (although they won't mention it) and once the dippers suffer their first defeat in the league we'll see what their made of?

You really need to find a source of happiness away from football, mate.

I love City as much as the next blue, but if supporting them for more than 30 years has taught me anything, it’s that you need to enjoy the good while it lasts and not take the bad (City related or otherwise) too seriously.

You’ll live quite a bit longer and have an easier time on here.

I mean, definitely there are other forces, ahem, willing (cheating) them on, but you'd think over the course of the very long season the law of averages will kick in... hopefully! Anyway, their eventual bottling will be expected.

They need beating, they’ve got a sense of invincibility at the minute and it’s no doubt giving them momentum.

We’re not exactly ripping up trees and we’ve shown we’re beatable. Our defense is dodgy and our midfield haven’t the legs. With a 6 point lead, the run of games we have coming up and the fact they are effectively unbeatable what makes you think they shouldn’t be anything other than extremely confident?
