I've been going a long time, and I can't remember a season we didn't do it, and we as fans have always been beyond criticism on the day, so I'm struggling to understand why you're now criticising the club for doing it today, on the nearest date we can as club, and on a day most other clubs at home seem to have also done it ?Of course I see that. The point is we never used to, so lots of people today were saying "I thought it was next week?" Given that, the behaviour of the fans was absolutely impeccable and beyond criticism.

No, I’m genuinely struggling to understand what point you’re trying to (clumsily) make.Roughly translated "yeah you've got a point"

You asked why we did it today ? I've answered that, its quite simple, unless you want to create an argument. Anyway I'm finished, if you don't get why then there isn't much hope.Where have I criticised the club for doing it ?
Which bit of simple English have I failed to understand?![
Haha. Well your inability to understand simple English is not my problem Ric. Goodnight :)

Getting like the famous Monty Python sketch "Is this the right room for an argument?"You asked why we did it today ? I've answered that, its quite simple, unless you want to create an argument. Anyway I'm finished, if you don't get why then there isn't much hope.
"...you should hear me play piano." ;)From my point of view I thought our tribute today was spot on, I didn't know we had a team of service veterans who supported City, and a bunch of lads who (judging from their ages) must have been involved in some the most grim conflicts since the second world war. I thought the guy playing last post was brilliant, it must be very difficult to play that, and in front of more than 50000 people it takes some balls, as a bugle must be the easiest instrument to get wrong, I thought the whole thing was very moving personally, and we got it spot on.
No I'm not an idiot but thanks for asking. People criticising the fans behaviour today (which I thought was good by the way) miss the point that loads were asking (like me) "I thought it was next week". Its not that complicated.
To be fair, there's still plenty of debate about the key dates for WWII. 1939 is the year we declared war on Germany but they are within the same continent. We declared war on Japan in 1941 but they had already formed the axis with Germany the year before, so, for us, the start date of a world war is a matter of opinion.Mind, wasn't there an article last week about a bunch of civil servants who weren't sure how long the Second WW lasted?
100% correct. Silences are often disrupted because fans don't know they are taking place. I remember we played at Wolves a couple of days after the Queen Mam died and stewards were telling everybody who went from the concourse to the seating area.Yeah, we had a similar announcement in the North Stand and think it helped to some extent. Bigger problem is the late arrivers though. Do think the stewards on the concourse could be more proactive. Not that it’s a major problem or owt, but feels like it could be easily solved. Don’t think anyone actually wants to disrespect that particular minute’s silence.
Well do it at the away game then ?
