Dianne Abbott

I predict that the whataboutery police will be in touch.....

After all they view posts like this as:
and

And of course - being the guardians of standards on this forum - I am sure that they will be even-handed and be equally critical of all posters - lest they otherwise demonstrate themselves to be just hypocrites

The only self appointed Guardian of the forum is you.

Whataboutism from all sides is shit and all over the forum, personally I think Corbyn and Johnson are both twats so don’t lump me in with anyone.

Ok?

Yes, it’s completely disproportionate. Tends to be the same group of posters too.

The are all very prominent and two are party leaders, You might have noticed that Boris and corbyn also come in for some flak....they are politicians thats what happens. Are we going to have a bout of crying sexism now the minute anyone says soething negative about a female politician of either left or right.

If you want to balance things out start one about that Thatcher she was on the right I would be posting on it every day for eternity the malevolent old bag.

Thunburg started by a climate change protest supporter.

Swinson by a labour voter.

Phillips by a Labour voter.

AOC a Labour voter.

I agree, get rid of them.
Ha!

No, it’s very much you missing it.

I dont think so.

You have this way of saying things without really actually saying them.

It often helps you to say you didn't say it when challenged.

Moaning about Swinson, Sturgeon and co being discussed on a politics sub forum is a bit like objecting to Silva and Walker being discussed in the player performances threads.

I honesty dont get it?

The point I was trying to make is that it’s not really relevant who started those threads, as you were claiming. More that they stay on the first page because those threads become dominated by a certain group of posters. There is a disproportionately low number of women in Parliament (or politics generally), yet a disproportionately high number of threads about female politicians on here.

2 of them are party leaders in the run up to a GE.

AOC isn't on the first page and 99% of posters on here dont give a shit who she is because its American politics.

Greta is big news as is climate change.

I dont get what the issue is except I do. You dont like them being criticised which is your right, your opinion and ultimately its your forum so get rid but for posters to moan about them being discussed on a politics sub forum is laughable.

Your other insistence on saying the same group of posters is also off as no shit, the same posters who discuss politics on here will discuss these individuals.

Transfer forum has the same few that go round and round, Off Topic the same.

There are none so blind as those that cannot see.

Ric what you are suggesting is these posters are sexist? lets not beat about the bush....in Dianne Abbotts case racist and sexist. They are politicians and many hold the view that they are shite ones nothing to do with sex or race.

I think Boris is a **** but thats ok and no questions or fingers are pointed but if I mention a woman or a black or muslim politician it musnt because I think they are shite oh no there must be another reason. There is the problem right there....its a load of bollocks mate they get called out because people think they are shite.

For the record my local MP is Laura Smith and I like her...I wish she was independent as she would get my vote.

No, I’m certainly not saying that anyone is immune from criticism, if that’s what you’re implying. I was just responding to a post pointing out the disproportionate amount of stick female, left-leaning politicians tend to get on here.

I really dont think gender has anything to do with it. The ones you mention are all high profile. Replace Swinson with Vince Cable, Bring back the lovely Mr Salmon and get rid of Jimmy Kranky and I think they would get just as much.

What I am implying is that because they are women and also in Abbotts case black is that you amongst others always seem to be asking if their is another reason they a given stick or not liked,,,,you would not even raise a post were they white blokes. Why must there be another reason? This is one of the reason the left are increasingly disliked and will get nowhere near government and leave us stuck with the fucking oaf. Its truly ridiculous it really is.

Diane abbot is thick as mouldy scouse and an embarrassment to the Labour Party. I couldnt give a fuck if she was a rainbow cyborg. It’s what I think.

Apologies @Ric, it was my observation that seems to have kicked this off.

Nobody is saying they shouldn't be criticised or that there is an ulterior motive behind it. I was just highlighting the coverage or 'stick' that they get in here is disproportionate to that of their male and right leaning female colleagues. Try searching for the threads on either of those former leaders you mentioned and if they exist how much interest they gathered. Theresa May had her own thread, yet there isn't one for the current PM, who has surely done more to be discussed in his time before and after becoming PM than Theresa May ever has.

Johnson, Cummings, Gove, Hunt, Patel, Javid, Rees-Mogg, Farage, Leadsom, Raab, McVey - Surely this merry band of feckless cretins should all have their own very popular individual threads regularly appearing at the top of the forum. Instead these left leaning women so much as break wind and posters are out to condemn or mock them.

Whether the tone of some posts/posters are sexist is a different debate. The thoughts of female posters would be more valuable to that discussion.

For every Dianne Abbott I give you JRM, Bridgen and Francois as equals for their party embarrassment.

Nobody is saying they shouldn't be criticised

Thats exactly what you are doing.

or that there is an ulterior motive behind it.

Good.

Whether the tone of some posts/posters are sexist is a different debate.

Hang on you just said no ulterior motive?

yet there isn't one for the current PM, who has surely done more to be discussed in his time before and after becoming PM than Theresa May ever has.

Im almost certain we had one but it got taken off. Maybe you should ask the forum owner why that is?

Cummings, Gove, Hunt, Patel, Javid, Rees-Mogg, Farage, Leadsom, Raab, McVey

Search for them and bump them, its a free country and forum in that respect and if you cant find start one, its how it works. There are plenty of members on here that would pile in and dish abuse, plenty.
