Is there an audience? If there is that will favour Boris as he likes playing to the crowd if not Corbyn will win.

I think Corbyn could come out of this better
If this was an intellectual boxing match it would be basically Muhammed Ali fighting Charles Hawtree !! appropriately Johnson would make an excellent numbnut carry on character , absolutely zero acting required .

I'm REALLY sure it isn't.

As a matter of interest my would-be money-splurging friend, how much extra income tax per week are you personally prepared to pay for all of these marvellous services? Let's hear a number in cold pound-notes terms. Give it your best shot. How much eh? Of YOUR money. Let's hear it. Put up, or shut up?

This sort of cliched invective is not a happy approach to conducting constructive dialogue, we should expect better from such well seasoned opponents. I think this pronouncement sort of sums up the essence of the ideological battle - when did workers last 'have control' - the 70s?
General election 2019: Workers under Labour 'will take back control'

Shadow chancellor John McDonnell has said workers and consumers would "take back control" under a new business model if Labour wins the election. In a speech in Westminster, he said company boards would include workers and elected members, giving them greater influence over pay structure.
And public sector chief executives would not be allowed to earn more than 20 times someone on the living wage. That would mean a maximum salary of about £350,000.

The plans were part of an overall vision to create a business model that was not based on the "unfettered pursuit of profit maximisation".

@Chippy_boy has been (rightly) the subject of Oscar's famous quote a few times in recent weeks.
His finest hour came a week or two back when he criticised Jezza's tax plans for costing the wealthiest in society an extra BMW a year.
As a matter of interest Chippy was that a 3,5 or7 series Beema?

Lo

easy ....the rich can pay for it , most of whom have paid next to nothing for decades ? Probably people like you ??

In other news a Tory candidate in Scotland has been suspended as evidence is uncovered over some form of public holocaust denial ?? You seem far more concerned that a labour party official ( friend of Keith vaz !!) Has resigned because he doesn't like Corbyn ?
That is of course classic Whataboutery

There will be a few on here on your case for doing that - not me because I think that is a fine way to respond

Just highlighted your hypocrisy ....happy to let Tories do what they want , yet have a dig at corbyn at every opportunity ? " labour supporters " like you are worse than useless !!

" 'COLD' pound note terms". Come on "let's hear it, put up or shut up"
Listen to yourself mate.

And weep.

And yet the Tories are dropping bollox almost on the hour ( just read about another in ashfield who said in an interview he wants to bring back " labour camps " ffs !! ) And you seem totally unconcerned ?? Whose side are you on exactly " ex labour supporter
? I personally couldn't stand Blair or brown but I still supported them ( until Iraq anyway ) as they were a better option than the Tories . "Your sort' seem more concerned in point scoring because the " looney left " are taking over !! Pathetic
More blatant whataboutery - but that is cool

Re: "Whose side are you on exactly " ex labour supporter?"

Well that should be obvious from my posts - and if not to you then I suggest that you are too blinkered/biased/bigoted to be objective and need to avoid the obvious

But to help - I would ideally be on the side of a Labour party that reflected the views of the majority of the Labour Movement - including those of the centre-left and not one that is in danger of becoming 'extinct' due to the machination of the extreme minority

Re "Your sort' seem more concerned in point scoring because the " looney left " are taking over !! Pathetic"

Frankly that is:

a) disrespectful and intolerant of the right of other people to hold views different to you and
b) pretty daft - IMO - because it is clear if you read my posts correctly - rather than as you want to - that I am concerned for the future well-being of the Labour Party and how the extremists are on track to destroy that party.

You come across as being someone intolerant of the views of others and really irritated that someone on this forum would point that out.....

Don't worry - you are nowhere near alone in that view
