Pochettino sacked by Spurs

Winning a cup is what you need to get a club going,he once said he doesn't care about winning them, what sort of attitude is that for a supposed top manager,we were spurs, that fa cup win and bobby being a **** pushed us on to where we are now,to dismiss winning anything is ridiculous really

He’s done a great job at Spurs in the main IMO but yeah, that was a stupid comment. I think he was buying too much into the Levy mantra though and look where it’s got him. If anything, he’s been too loyal to Tottenham. Saying that you don’t need to spend loads of money to compete at the top table and it can be done another way, etc. With the odd veiled swipe at our spending along the way. Yet all along, he must’ve been getting increasingly frustrated at the lack of transfer funds.

Not surprised, Poch was always going to leave Spurs sooner rather than later. Possible return to Spain, maybe Madrid at the end of the season depending how Zidane gets on this season.

Despite some nonsense in this thread, I would 100% take him when Pep decides to move on. He's an extremely good manager, regardless of what's happened this year.

He’s overachieved with them but they should have won the league in 2016.

They were in the title race with Leicester better than anyone all season but then as the Arsenal song goes “Spurs finished third in a two-horse race”.

And with their pathetic performance in the CL final and constant dirty shithouse fouling, I’ve never been keen on Pochettino at all.

For me, it was only a matter of time before a Spurs player broke someone’s leg. They’ve got away with multiple horrendous red card offence tackles in his time with that club, clearly under instruction. And blow me it was a petulant click of the ankles that ended up doing it rather than their usual knee high horror tackles.
