Andrew Marr

Just feel pointing out the hypocrisy of people that slag other posters off when they do the same thing themselves is not a waste of effort

And yes that was classic whataboutery no matter how you seek to further deflect

But I will let you have the last word as you always neeeed to and not get involved in one of your many arguments

You’ve not even managed to quote me.

It wasn’t whataboutism in the slightest. You said remain voters hate Farage for the sake of it and I gave you a specific reason why I personally do.

I look forward to what nonsense you come up with next - no doubt it’ll be more of the ‘I’m going to be an arse and then continue to use the last line argument’.

Gove cannot talk about tory policy as he is obsessed with talking about labour.

because their manifesto is basically " Get Brexit Done" with little else of substance in it which is why they are launching on a Sunday in the West Midlands ( many hacks won't be arsed to show up there on a Sunday ) and for the second election in a row they are finding that the country does not share their one track obsession with Brexit - voters have lives to lead which involve visiting a doctor, travelling, shopping and so on - all of which are touched by politics.

far more promising territory - 'deranged Marxists' lol
I think pointing to the number of MP's the Brexit party and/or UKIP hold is grossly unfair, given our utterly wank voting system. The reality is that Farage is the principal mouthpiece for around 25%, possibly up to a third of the active electorate on the EU and he therefore deserves a prominent position in the media on the subject around the GE.
the FPTP system does have its compensating benefits then ;)

In passing can I ask if anyone else thinks there is a political Stepford Wives colony somewhere from which Angela Rayner has escaped?

I know, my home town - it's tragic, what with her and Owen Jones displacing the memory of such luminaries of Phil Foden, Peter Butterworth, Joan Bakewell, Fred Perry, Sir Norman Foster and many others - alongside the scoundrel Charles Bradshaw of course.

Who Marr or Johnson?
Surprised you think that - the young 'Red Andy' was a vigorous Maoist and he famously expressed the recent opinion that the new Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn may be electable! In reality he is a comparative lightweight and as an interviewer struggles to land a telling punch on anybody - witness the current blathering with BoJo who is masticating him with relish.

George, you like to look back and see what people belived in their yputh and then think them may think the same.

Blair was part of a marxist student group but he then changed to a neo-liberal.

I in my late teens was a anarcho-communist, I have mellowed to just socialism.

Whether marr was a maoist or anything else years ago is irrelevant to today.

He's not doing it enough IMO.

Labour spend their entire LIVES doing fuck all other than criticise the Tories. Corbyn cannot open his mouth without doing so. Literally.

Moreover Corbyn has come out with a pack of outright lies and completely undeliverable promises and it is absolutely beholden upon Conservative Party spokespeople to not allow him to hoodwink the British people like this.

For example, (I could have picked any)

  • the LIE that we are selling off the NHS and you will soon have to pay thousands of pounds for your own cancer treatment. That is just a lie, pure and simple.
  • the LIE that the NHS drugs bill will more than double (when we only get 10% of our drugs from US companies in the first place!)
  • the LIE that 95% of people won't be paying more tax
  • the LIE that Labour will only borrow to invest, when they are saying they will borrow to pay buy off the WASPI women vote

Liars. People need to be reminded of this, just as Labour like to remind Tory voters.

Brilliant performance. His best yet.

Marr was dreadful. Constant interruptions made me switch off. Regardless of my political persuasion I want to see the interviewee answer the question without constant interruptions.

Marr asks him a ridiculous question at the end about will you be meeting President Trump (course the PM will meet the President) and then said we are out of time and started the closing sequence giving him no time to answer.

Time go go Marr.

Marr was trying to do his best Andrew Neil impersonation, but Boris was dealing with him easily. He ended up making Boris look good by failing to land with any of his prepared attack lines. Another potential hurdle comfortably cleared ;)
