No point in me quoting half the Labour manifesto at you Karen, but the same criticisms can be levelled at much of its content.Boris is selling 50,000 new nurses,19,000 already being in training are not new, also he is going to take measures to stop nurses leaving and invite some back,he has no control over either of those unless he gives them free parking and a pay rise and he isn't offering either ,getting 12,500 from abroad is not a given either, they have to pay 600 quid to come, have to have extra training to bring them up to UK standards so his promise on this is bollocks,he knows most people will just accept him shouting 50,000 more and take it as gospel, same with new drs and police,it's equally a lie if you look into it in the same way
40 new hospitals has turned out to be 6 refurbished
Saying labour lie as well is not really the point,no-one lies like boris does,he has modelled himself on trump, shout, wave your arms around, bluster and hope no-one looks at the detail
Deflecting to labour doesn't answer what i posted, the promises made about our emergency services are lies, big lies and are probably what the majority are going to vote for, they have to be taken apart, boris is the siting prime minister,he should be held to a higher standardNo point in me quoting half the Labour manifesto at you Karen, but the same criticisms can be levelled at much of its content.
Corbyn has been a serial liar all his life, he's just better at it. He's the one of the most duplicitous, slimy and thoroughly unpleasant individuals ever to enter parliament and yet some people refuse to accept it or even see it. Thankfully most do.

Which if he gets a TM style majority he'll be on the hard brexit candidates to get it through. The main issue here is content Paul Johnson from our dear friends at the IFS has been quoted as saying that there's barely enough in the manifesto for a budget never mind a 5 years of parliament. It strikes me now at half way point and Johnson is more scared of losing this than being bold and stating his case for winning and driving home his advantage personally I think that he has bottled it. But would love to here from some Tory voters on how exciting this manifesto is positives. Apart from get the tired old slogan of Get Brexit Done and guess how much its going to costs its devoid any substance what so ever.
You can't blame Johnson for this. Like Apollo Creed going into the last round in Rocky II he just needs to 'stay away' from Corbyn and say as little as possible and he's home and hosed. The fact we've got such an ineffectual wanker as leader of opposition is a terrible shame, but Johnson is understandably making the most of that. The main issue here is content Paul Johnson from our dear friends at the IFS has been quoted as saying that there's barely enough in the manifesto for a budget never mind a 5 years of parliament. You’ll be suggesting we give the government 3% of the purchase price of a property next. Maybe 7.5% if over £2M , 10% if over £4M or 11% over £8M? We could put it up to 14% if buying subsequent properties?
Chippy, I believe that from an EU perspective nationalisation is legal, but taking back assets without paying market value is a no go.Your assertion that it not be illegal is noted and disagreed with. The courts would end up deciding.
Yep i saw several "experts" on sky saying that he has no vision or plans for the next 5 yrs so is putting out wild lies on what people are most concerned about and shout brexit everywhere,i think you are right,he is scared about losing more than anything,he has tried to force through brexit every which way, that is literally all he cares about,i have always maintained an election is not the answer to brexit,we are voting them in for 5 yrs,it should not be a single issue deciderThe main issue here is content Paul Johnson from our dear friends at the IFS has been quoted as saying that there's barely enough in the manifesto for a budget never mind a 5 years of parliament. No. It’s called tax. If Govt imposes a one off windfall tax or changes the tax rules or tax brackets or makes holdings and investments previously exempt from tax subject to tax and/or imposes currency controls making it impossible to transfer monies above a certain threshold out of the country or only make it possible subject to punitive tax rates or well you get the idea.
Point is it isn’t difficult to dress up the acquisition of money or assets as tax. Whether it is advisable or not is a different matter.
I agree it's uninspiring and from some perspectives disappointing. But since when was financial prudence "exiting"? Those most disappointed I guess will be the ones hoping to get something for nothing. Whilst the majority who realise everything has to be paid for, are probably a little more circumspect. The main issue here is content Paul Johnson from our dear friends at the IFS has been quoted as saying that there's barely enough in the manifesto for a budget never mind a 5 years of parliament. To be honest I am not sure Johnson is even that bothered about Brexit. He certainly wasn't in the past. It's just it's his only ticket out of the mess the Tories were in when May was booted out, so that's the path he's following.Yep i saw several "experts" on sky saying that he has no vision or plans for the next 5 yrs so is putting out wild lies on what people are most concerned about and shout brexit everywhere,i think you are right,he is scared about losing more than anything,he has tried to force through brexit every which way, that is literally all he cares about,i have always maintained an election is not the answer to brexit,we are voting them in for 5 yrs,it should not be a single issue decider

And regards the messaging, there's a striking similarly between "Take Back Control" and "Get Brexit Done", two endlessly repeated 3 word phrases, doubtless coined by the same man, Dominic Cummings. Personally I find both phrases extremely tedious and rather than being vote-winners, just downright irritating. But what do I know - it worked last time.

Johnson's Russian paymasters won't be happy if he doesn't deliver Brexit.
