Having never been a Brexit supporter, I've never bothered to read anything from Dominic Cummings, but just now, I did. From his blog, I read this:

"I know why many are tempted to vote for Corbyn. Under Cameron and May, there were some big decisions about priorities that were wrong. Most importantly, from summer 2016 Hammond repeatedly blocked cash for the NHS and other services. In 2016 people voted for change — the Conservative Party didn’t hear that properly before the referendum and they didn’t hear it properly after the referendum.

But Boris did hear the demand for change and he will deliver it.

Those of us from the Vote Leave team would never have gone to No10 to help if Boris hadn’t told us that he is determined to change the Conservative Party — change its priorities and change its focus so it really serves the whole country. Most of us were not ‘party people’. For us, parties are a means to an end — a means to improve lives.

If we win a majority, we will do all we can to improve this country — and especially for those who don’t have lots of money, who are surrounded by bad choices of school, who can’t afford a private doctor if their family is sick. Westminster has let the whole country down for many years. As VL said during the referendum — it’s time for change.

If we get a working majority, the Conservative Party will be very different. Grieve and similar characters will be gone. We will have seats in the Midlands and North that have been neglected by all parties. The party and the government will have to change radically."

Who knows whether the above is true, but I hope it is. It is a vision of hope of a better Britain under the Tories. I hope we can deliver it.

Bullshit

What does Islamophobia even mean?

I think Islam is dangerous and fucking nonsense.

If it was termed 'anti-Muslim racism', they might get more people on their side because that is a better descriptor of the issue. But Islamophobia i.e. having an irrational fear of Islam is no different to having an irrational fear of fascism/right-wing extremism or any other ideology.

Having a fear of a religion is irrational. Having a fear of right wing extremism, particularly if you are from a minority background, is not irrational

I have friends and work with people who are Muslim, I don’t have any friends who are right wing extremists as far as I know

Tory boys you're stinking the joint out with your hatred of Corbyn.
Why don't you book a conference room at a hotel, put up a picture of Jezz and have your mutual mass debate there instead of polluting this place.

They tried but the conference room was booked by the envy cult with a picture of Bojo having their mass debate, unfortunately it has WiFi so they are polluting this place as well.

What a world we live in.

Fearing a religion isn’t the same as fearing every person that follows it.

Fearing a religion that can spawn something like ISIS is completely normal.

I fear all religions, the fanatics of all of them scare the shit out of me.

I have friends who are gay and I think it would be a bit unfair of me to say that their fear of Islam is irrational when so many Muslims interpret Islam as a licence to persecute and murder gay people.

This channel 4 climate debate with no johnson and farage bluster and bullshit ramblings, hyperbole and puerile and snide comments is much more adult and how politics should be debated.

They were really more worried about the toxic levels of methane emissions from their mouths in such a small studio

why is Boris still there then? He has said in the past that islamophobia is a natural reaction to Islam.
You can dislike the religion and not dislike Muslims you know.

Same with any religion. Nobody is forced to accept a doctrine they disagree with on a moral level.

If that were the case every Christian could claim a grievance. We did away with blasphemy laws for a reason.

Just look at the Middle East in the news, at any time, in the last x amount of years.

Religion is utter bollocks and makes people ridiculous things.

so, religion is dangerous, not just Islam? You can’t stereotype a whole religion based on events in the Middle East.

Do you extend that view to the Chief Rabbi or is it just one religion you think is bollocks?
