Marr was a Maoist in uni, but after a stint working for the ecconomist has stated his views dramatically changed from that of a leftie to a more conservative liberal.

If anything he would probably be similar in view to cameron or bliar than supporting labour in it's present left wing stance.
Not interested in his politics.
Neil is right wing but gives all his interviewees an equally hard time.

You should read this guy George. He will give you a handle on how the Tory policies have been systematically dismantling our criminal justice system.

A word of warning though, it is very depressing reading.

Liar and Thief.

Tearing strips is what journalism is about, is it not? You applaud it when it happens to Corbyn, yet are angry when it comes from a 'softball' interviewer like Marr.

I'm not angry, I was merely pointing out the night and day difference in interviewing approach when Marr switched from Chakrabarti to Johnson.

I'd rather Johnson was more skilled in interviews of course. But ultimately doing OK in an Andrew Marr interview, or not, is not a particularly useful skill to have in order to lead the country. It is not of zero benefit, but it's hardly the most important qualification.

I cannot imagine many people if/when Corbyn trashed the UK economy and put millions more out of work and into poverty, saying "it's OK, he's good in interviews".

And? I was countering the accusation or Marrs labour bias never did I say he brought his personal political beliefs i to his interviews, or do you just like to argue with everyone?

The polls are closing again now, quite a few moving into hung parliament territory. Labour activists are just getting started too with thousands taking these last two weeks off work and campaigning specifically in northern towns.

This is the period where Labour made significant gains last time. This gonna be good!

You call them "accurate".

"I’m not happy with the shoot-to-kill policy in general – I think that is quite dangerous and I think can often be counterproductive" - Jeremy Corbyn, 2015.

"I am awaiting an explanation of where the legal basis was for that incident that went on." - Jeremy Corbyn, on the drone strike on Isis fighter Mohammed Emwazi.

"I’ve been involved in opposing anti-terror legislation ever since I first went into Parliament in 1983" - JC, 2011

And this is his reasoning:

Work out who he is in Google.

Which is a fair enough statement. The Americans constantly ask this question when it comes to their citizens abroad. This country does not. Stark and shocking difference.

Positions can change or alter depending on particular legislation he was talking about. You've done no research into any of it, but just took a statement he's said 8 years ago to mean the whole legislation itself.

Disingenuous posting.

I've already rebutted quite a few on other threads.

"Rebutted" here having the meaning of "wouldn't listen".

You're doing yourself a disservice.

Show me and prove to everyone else I've not answered your questions or points.

You're being a Johnson in the way you respond.
Why would I waste my time and effort on someone who refuses to see other points of view?

You've already proven to me you won't listen to others arguments, won't consider what others say or point out to you.

You're only interested in your arguments, in your proposals. I've seen you debate with others the same way, you do it with everyone. There is absolutely nothing to gain from debating with you because you're so close-minded and incapable of accepting hard truths. "Show me, show me" *shows you* "that's just a lie"

I'm closed minded? Compared to whom? You? Your mates?

You lot have accused Corbyn of personal anti-Semitism and everyone else who doesn't see your angles on the subject. Being pro doesn't mean anti, but you can't and won't accept that.

Corbyn is PRO people. He's not ANTI business.

I, though, am not listening!

I really have to applaud your distraction techniques.
You really have done your best to bury the rampant antisemitism infecting the Labour party.
