This site shows the slow incremental increase of NHS privatisation. The withdrawal of financial support in critical areas have allowed private investment to step in and poor quality ensue.

All very nice propaganda Bigga. You must love it. Funnily enough, your biased site failed to mention one interesting statistic. I wonder why that might be?

From the King's Fund:

In 2018/19 NHS commissioners spent £9.2 billion on services delivered by the private sector (also called ‘independent sector providers’). This is more than the £8.8 billion spent in 2017/18, but due to inflation and growth in the Department of Health and Social Care budget, the share of their total revenue budget that was spent on private providers remained constant at 7.3 per cent in both 2017/18 and 2018/19

So only a miserable 92.7% of all NHS spending goes to private institutions. And privatisation hasn't even increased. What a travesty.

If the Tories are trying to "Sell off the NHS" they are doing a shit job of it.

It was previously polling around 17-19%. Now it's 13% on average after a couple of weeks. That's tanking.

Don't forget, the Lib Dems were going to form a Government according to Swinson.
Well yes, but in terms of votes and seats from 2017 I assume it will mean more seats the question is at whose expense ? The Lib dems were never going to form a government it was never an option again the question is will they be king makers or not.

It's quite incredible how the conservatives still blame a government from 10 years ago for issues that happen now.
They're essentially admitting they're massively ineffective at getting things done and effecting change in the way they'd like.

I think that they are starting to understand that they are pretty ineffective at everything other than hurting maiming or killing something........

  • Cameron promised to reduce the length of roadworks ..... couldn't even do that.
  • Pickles & Barwell sat on the dangerous cladding report for years and did nothing .... resulting in the death of 76 at Grenfell Tower
https://www.insidehousing.co.uk/news/gavin-barwell-expects-to-appear-before-grenfell-inquiry-64047
  • They were warned about the changes to the law that would allow the early release of terrorists (a report they commissioned) but did nothing.
  • Promised to build 200,000 affordable starter homes ...... built zero
  • Promised to reduce immigration to 10's of thousands ..... managed to put vans on the streets telling illegal immigrants to go home (got 65 people to return )
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/apr/26/theresa-may-go-home-vans-operation-vaken-ukip
  • Promised to balance the books by 2017 and then run a budget surplus ....... UK Debt is now nearly treble what is was in 2010.
  • Promised not to hike VAT and NI Contributions .........first thing they did when they came into power.
  • Promised to end child poverty ....... you only had to watch Channel 4 Dispatches the other night to see how that ones worked out
  • Promised to deliver a strong NHS ..... waiting times at their longest, A&E in crisis, doctors forced to strike.
  • Promised to safeguard British interests in the single market ...... now they want to pull us out of the single market
  • Promised to give everyone in the UK 3 days a year paid leave so that they could volunteer for a local charity .... never happened.
  • Promised to ban wild animals in circuses ......... Bill blocked by Tory MPs so never happened.
  • Promised to ensure that the NHS was adequately staffed to meet patients needs .......... ENGLAND is now 40,000 + nurses short.
  • Promised to clamp down on dangerous extremists with new Extremism Disruption Orders........ they couldn't agree a definition of extremism so nothing happened.
  • Promised to introduce a new Victims’ Law to enshrine key rights for victims of crime..............nothing happened.
  • Promised to cap residential social care charges from April 2016......................nothing has happened other than to propose a 'Dementia Tax' (we all know how that went down)
  • Promised to deliver Brexit three times ................nothing happened
  • Promised to set up a lifeboat fund to bail out people who's company goes bust and they lose their pension .......nothing happened.

and so on ......and thats just from the last two manifestos

That's not what Swinson was saying, was it.

She was going to be the next Prime Minister. Not on 13% of the vote she isn't.

Won't go into coalition with the Tories, won't support Corbyn being Prime Minister. What options are left? SNP/Lib Dem alliance minority Government?

Yep.
They're very good at conning people though to think otherwise with a lot of help from their friends in the media and the establishment.
Worth noting that the current crisis we're in is entirely due to a Tory PM calling a referendum to sort out a problem within his own party and yet........

I think you'll find the current "crisis" is down to how people voted in the referendum, Len. And Parliament's refusal to carry out what they promised they would carry out: The will of the people.

And regards "conning people", we will not take lectures from someone who supports the biggest con artist to enter politics in the last 50 years, one Jeremy Corbyn.

VS Labour. Promised all sorts in the last 3 General Elections.

DELIVERED NOTHING.

Corbyn is a nasty, shouty, lying protestor. Permanently in opposition and never with the responsibility to actually deliver ANYTHING AT ALL.

Every 13 year old kid thinks he will be a brilliant driver. Until he's 17 and first has a go at the wheel and realises it's actually more difficult than it looks.

It doesn't matter what she was saying, nobody even herself believed it. 13% itself is a meaningless number on it's own. The fact it is double what they had last time means it will impact on the result and I don't know how but it's a far more interesting conversation on what may or may not happen than worrying how it impacts on the Liberals forming a government as that was never happening anyway.

I saw this and Most of the younger Voters in this Video seem to be of a more privileged upbringing. I don’t think they’ve understood having your electric run out or having to sit under blankets because the heating is too expensive. If shows how out of touch Andrea Leadsom is with a large proportion of voters. I have nothing in common with any of these people, they live on a different plane.

when I see the 80kers arguing that they shouldn’t pay and extra £10 a month because they already pay £20k a year tax I just think WOW ! If it meant a better health service and helping those less fortunate get back on their feet is that not to everyone benefit ? I honestly don’t know why the working class lower earners would watch that and not see anything fishy about it. It’s the rich well educated trying to keep us plebs in our place. Don’t get any ideas of asking for a fairer society as the rich didn’t get rich by giving it away.

Anyway the comments in the tweet are worth a look if nothing else . Check Andreas twitter for more of the upper class pups she interviewed

Confidence and supply arrangement, only formal coalitions were ruled out. Swinson was hardly going to campaign on the basis of "I know we won't win...", I've never seen any political party do that in a GE.

The impact of an increased Lib Dem vote re 2017 depends on how well they target their resources but it's most likely to impact Tory seats in the Home Counties and the South-West.

In case you haven't noticed ..... Labour were not in power during that period. Just saying.
It'll take him a while to get his head around that one.

We know they're doing a shit job of it.

In social care, especially (and my brother works within it), if there's not enough qualified staff within the system to make it run well, then the idea of promoting MORE privatisation in this sector is not a good one, is it?

Then ignore the polls and my comments then if you think it's meaningless.

Well worth repeating in case Gobby boy missed it.

My boss is a former healthcare professional and his wife is a nurse in the NHS.

They’ve never voted Labour and won’t be doing.

I’m sure many will because Labour have just promised infinite investment and will have caught a few with the privatisation fib.
I have 3 family members that have all been in NHS careers since starting work and all with my Salford background and therefore previously Labour voters.

They live in Anglesey, Southport and Oldham - none of them will be voting Labour

This suggests that the statement from @Vic is flawed/hopeful/misleading

In which case he should have said - We will leave the EU on 31st October DO OR DIE as long as Labour don't stop us.
He didn't so his original statement stands.
The Lesson being - don't try to sound tough by making promises you can't keep, otherwise you end up looking like a richard head.
You dig?
Just clutching at straws.

The simple fact is that most/all of those that are trying to use that commitment as some way to score a point are either/both Remainers and Remain party voters and therefore there views should be/are irrelevant to Johnson

Also

Hardly any/none of the people that Johnson was/is seeking to attract the support of have any issue with that commitment that they lay at his door

So your pedantry if reduced down to just an echo chamber mumble I am afraid

All very worrying, Greta Thunberg needs to take all extinction rebellion members over to China on a raft and get them to glue
themselves to the first trains and buildings they encounter.
Action is needed now.
Yeah - I am sure that they will probably get a sympathetic response from the 'representatives of the authorities' as they cause chaos - if only for a very short time

i think you'll find thats incorrect .... also if its Tory policy why isn't it in their manifesto and why haven't they done it ....... they've had nearly 10 years .

It's because they would rather see people raped or battered and park it up and give people their passports or the keys to the victims house so they can finish the job or leg it.

After all the alternative is too scary to comprehend spending some money
